I'd like to apologise to you all, what went down this morning shouldn't have happened.
Luke is a good friend of mine, and has been looking through this site trying to find reasons for what I have chosen to do.
I'd like to make sure you all know that I am not pissed over the fact that I didn't get an apology (as Satan seems to be saying) - Cal's right, I left of my own accord and if I'd wanted an apology, I would have stayed and whined until I got one ;)
I am cheered and saddenend at the same time to see that I have become something of a geek legend on this site, and I am considering buying that T-shirt, Chay.
I'm not going to beat anyone up.

Yes, and a good one - it lasted a good while longer than a few hours.
Of course, this thread was created a fair while after I'd gone, and (I think, it was a long time ago) it was a fair while before ButtMutt and I grew up and sorted things out.
My point is: it wasn't a pathetic cry for attention.
Also note that people were actually upset that I'd gone.

Here is a little tale for you:
Imagine there's a woman. And she's arrived at the airport late due to traffic. She can just make her flight if she legs it.
She crashes through the doors but her suitcase falls open, spilling clothes, a Jakie Collins novel, sunblock and, rather embarrassingly, a packet of twelve condoms over the floor.
She scoops them all up and rams them back into her luggage, no longer caring if the clothes crease or the sunblock spills out. Dodging in and out of people, so runs to the emptiest-looking check-in desk, panting with the effort, only to find she is stuck behind someone who refuses to pay for overweight bags, and is having a lengthy argument with the bored-looking check-in assistant.
Her leg jiggles impatiently and she faces the familiar dilema - does she move to another queue, or stick it out? She is just about to gather her things and go to the next queue down when the person in front leaves, and it's her turn.
She slaps her tickets down, but the check-in girl looks at them and says "sorry, the plane has just left."
Now, imagine that instead of a woman, it was actually you.
And instead of a plane, it was "the point".
