An interesting article about George Orwell, my favourite writer.

Who is your favourite writer?

Terry Pratchett (everything)
David Mitchell (especially Cloud Atlas and Ghostwritten)
Kate Atkinson (Behind the Scenes at the Museum)
Christopher Brookmyre (Can never get enough of comedic violence in a heavy Scottish accent)
Christ, I change my mind all the time. Richard Morgan is fantastic, as is Alan Moore.

Also suddenly getting into Iain Banks books although read The Wasp Factory first and none of the others are quite up to that level.
Yellow Pages. Foreign chap, writes fragmented surrealist stories about plasterers and florists. Yellow's an odd first name. Parents must have been hippies.

I'd wondered if you'd read this lovely letter about Douglas Adams written by Richard Dawkins
