Cal Henderson was elected Sheriff in 1992 after Walter Heinrich decided not to seek re-election. Sheriff Henderson is a native of Tampa and attended Chamberlain High School and the University of South Florida, where he attained both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree with honors. He has taught at Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida as an adjunct professor. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and a past President of the Florida FBI National Academy Associates Chapter. He is married and has two children.

Sheriff Henderson has dedicated his entire adult life to the law enforcement community. In 1965 he began his law enforcement career with the Tampa Police Department. In 1967 he joined the United States Border Patrol, where he served 18 months on the United States/Mexican Border. He then served a tour as a civilian with the Central Intelligence Agency in South Vietnam, training and advising the Vietnamese National Police.

In 1969 he joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as a Patrol Deputy and rose through the ranks, eventually serving for 11 years as a Major in each of the operational divisions of the Sheriff's Office. On July 1, 1985, he was promoted to Colonel in charge of the four divisions of the Enforcement Operations Department. He served in this capacity until he took office as Sheriff in 1993.

Cal: I sent you my wife's email - do major GNE adopters get bumped, too? I'll never have time for this, but she'd LOVE an invite and would finally get off Farmville/restaurant City and all that other shit.

Being as I am away for another month at least, it'd keep her from climbing the walls with boredom...

... same as when you get back.

I was hooked on Mafia Wars, Farmville and Cafe World, but getting bored with them too.

Cal I emailed you. Thanks a million for bumping us. :)

I'm still playing Little Savages 2 and 3
this should give you an idea how much trouble I have of letting go of a game
so I'm not starting a new one

what's the answer to 1.2.8 Miki?
Posted by Miki, 2 years ago:

getting married to someone you met on the internet :P

Aw Cal, I didn't get invited :(
Posted by che, 2 years ago:

perhaps you'll be in the next batch Syl. They can't invite everyone at once :)
Posted by syl, 2 years ago:

It's okay...I don't really have the time anyway...I was just curious. What's it like?
Posted by che, 2 years ago:

I'm not allowed to say :)

I just got my invitation!

Thanks Cal, I got an invitation. It was closed when I tried to play, though.

I don't seem to get invited to the test sessions any more, or maybe it's just that there are long gaps between sessions (the last invite I got was 20 November). I think it may be because I'm in the wrong time zone, for one thing. For another, even when it's been open for me I haven't played all that much. I don't think it's really my kind of game.

I think it looks cute.
Posted by syl, 14 months ago:

I have an addiction span of about three months with games.
Posted by Miki, 14 months ago:

mine is decades :(
I have been playing little savages for years and years, still do every day
that's why I'm wary of starting anything new. everybody else will lose interest and I will still feel compelled to feed something every day...

Miki:nurturing person.

tis true

Thems the words of a true mother there, Miki: unconditional love (or a person with OCD, but I'm feeling cute tonight.) Kudos to you :)

Quite touching actually. I hope one day to feel that. I'm sure I will. I do worry though that when I have kids I'll get pissed off and stage a ragequit finding the off switch in a shaking mechanism. :S

thanks sul, that's very sweet of you to say :)

I'll let you in on a lil secret, I may be that slightly twee mummy type but I also have already had moments where I felt that rage, even though she is only 9,5 months and can't even be properly annoying yet
but don't worry, you don't actually act on the feeling and then they do something extremely cute (steve calls it "the cute defense") and you feel much better.
I genuinely think you will be a really good dad

Sul will be a great Dad. I think every parent feels 'the rage' especially when the baby cries and cries and cries and you don't know what's wrong.
