Aren't the docs always two weeks out because of the calculation from the last cycle? Miki could go into labour today :) Are you having a caesar or a natural birth? And you're horrible for not telling us the name ;)

I sometimes regret not having children...will never know what it's like to be pregnant and give birth. I am told it's wonderful when you can feel the baby moving inside you.

the docters are not two weeks out, they give you two weeks as a bonus, but then add those on to the weeks to go so it's 38 weeks from conception or 40 weeks from the start of your cycle whichever one is more precise.
Plus the baby can't count yet so she doesn't care a bit about my calender, inconsiderate little thing

Pregnancy is a big drag, bodies are fickle at the best of times and with a squatter conquering space in there it's far worse. Everything hurts, my hands and feet are swollen beyond recognition, I cant breathe anymore (had to give up my astma meds), I'm STILL nauseous pretty much every night and I cant sleep.
Indeed the only lovely thing about being being pregnant is feeling the baby move anround, and that gets old after three hours of trying to sleep and the baby going into an enchore of a kickbox routine.

As for giving births, it's messy and painful and horrible and your body is f*cked for weeks afterwards, which is excellent timing for learning to care for a helpless screeming little thing 24/7 and becoming a snackbar open all hours

*** this concludes the cynical part of this post, warning soppy bit ahead ***
all the above is true, and I don't care at all. pregnancy really isn't comfy but it seems to be more funny then anything else. And I will definitely miss feeling the baby throughout the day.
childbirth really isn't glamorous, nothing can change that. but you get a whole new human and it's yours and and you can mess it up in any way you like and you don't have to give it back :D:D

I don't suppose we can all experience EVERYTHING, it's just that motherhood is quite a special thing for a woman.
