I trying to get my head around CQRS (http://codebetter.com/blogs/gregyoung/archive/2010/02/13/cqrs-and-event-sourcing.aspx) and wondered if you have looked at it?

My thought process is that it seems to offer an elegant solution to the problems you highlight in your slideshow.

Our team is currently redesigning our existing systems to improve availability and scalability (not to web scale just enterprise) so I would value the opinion of someone who has been there and done it.
