With one day to go, it's not too late to send me a card.

Fact of the day: Cal has over £50 in 5,10 and 20 pence pieces on his desk. He doesn't know what to do with them.

pence?? Is this like pennies, nickels, and dimes in the US?

in the UK we have pounds and pence (or pennies if you like). We then have copper coins (1 & 2p pieces), silver coins (5,10,20 & 50p pieces) a pound coin and a two pound coin. None of them have fancy names. Your nikels and dimes are just 25 and 50 cent coins aren't they?

Peter -- not the first dollar coin. Just restarted production. They were discontinued a while ago. I believe they featured Elanor Roosevelt and JFK, though you can bet that I am WAYY wrong..
