oooh i dont want to miss out on this one

Hehehe

I realise uptake will be low, what with most peoples irrational hatred of house music...
Posted by Sul, 15:29, 3rd June 2003:

my hatred of it is far from irrational. My rational explanation being that its shite
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:31, 3rd June 2003:

I like good house music. Shame I haven't heard any though ;)
Posted by Sul, 15:32, 3rd June 2003:

lol
Posted by Grim..., 15:36, 3rd June 2003:

Sul: You 'think' it's shite, not it 'is' shite - there is a big difference.
Posted by chandler, 15:37, 3rd June 2003:

yeah but sul is right ;)
Posted by Grim..., 15:39, 3rd June 2003:

But in that case, Radiohead and Monty Python are shit, because I don't really like either.
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:41, 3rd June 2003:

I'll partly agree on the first count. On the second one, well, "You're Wrong And You're A Grotesque Ugly Freak" ;)
Posted by Sul, 15:41, 3rd June 2003:

Grim...: You 'think' its not shite, this doesnt mean that it 'isnt' shite. See where I'm going with this? What came first, the shit music or your shit opinion?
Posted by chandler, 15:43, 3rd June 2003:

thats the age old question
does he listen to shitmusic because he is shit
or is he shit because he listens to shitmusic.
Posted by Grim..., 15:44, 3rd June 2003:

Sul: I was going for the 'You can't argue with an opinion, but you can argue with fact' line.

AP: I don't know why I don't like Monty Python - I thought Life Of Brian was a bit dull =/
Posted by Grim..., 15:44, 3rd June 2003:

Obviously it's difficult to argue with fact, but you know what I mean
Posted by jlittle, 15:45, 3rd June 2003:

I'd want one, but I can't be arsed sending a SAE to some pikey who will probally steal the stamp off :P
Posted by Grim..., 15:46, 3rd June 2003:

Um, I didn't ask you to put a stamp on it...
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:46, 3rd June 2003:

Do you work for Huntingdon Life Sciences? If so, can you nick me a smoking monkey???
Posted by Grim..., 15:47, 3rd June 2003:

I used to work for Unilever research, you could name your drug addiction and I'd get you the appropriate monkey...
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:48, 3rd June 2003:

CRACK MONKEY~~~!!!!!
Posted by Grim..., 15:50, 3rd June 2003:

They had a cocaine monkey - close enough.

I think it was called Fifi =]
Posted by Rosie, 16:08, 3rd June 2003:

Fucking hell, thats horrid! Didn't you feel like letting them all go free or smuggling them home or something?
Posted by Grim..., 16:11, 3rd June 2003:

No - sorry to be blunt but I'd rather things like that were tested on monkeys and not me =/
Posted by Rosie, 16:12, 3rd June 2003:

yeah - but why they testing coke on a monkey? I don't agree with all that shit really. But i'm not gonna do a chay and bore you about my opinions!

No offence chay!
Posted by chandler, 16:13, 3rd June 2003:

oh none taken :)
i dont want you to "do" me anyway
Posted by Sul, 16:15, 3rd June 2003:

Do they offer you the choice when you take the job? The save a monkey scheme. Every friday you have to go down to the lab and shoot up while discussing with other SAMS members how much lab equipment you can take down to skag converters after your shift ends?
Posted by Rosie, 16:17, 3rd June 2003:

Chay: :p

I got my telly and dvd player from the skag converters! Its not nice - but i needed a telly and my video broke so it was time for an upgrade!
Posted by Grim..., 16:18, 3rd June 2003:

Actually, I didn't have much to do with the monkeys, I was Windows 2000 roll-out =]
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:19, 3rd June 2003:

Sounds painful.

you can get a cream for that
Posted by Sul, 16:19, 3rd June 2003:

and they didnt get the monkeys to help? Seems like a waste of resources if you ask me.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 16:19, 3rd June 2003:

skag converters? Whats that then?
Posted by Grim..., 16:21, 3rd June 2003:

Cash Converters, I think.

The monkeys were treated quite well.
Rats and mice had a much harder time, but because there aren't as cute or fluffy as Monkeys (or Foxes, anti-hunting fans) no-one gives a fuck about them.
Posted by Rosie, 16:24, 3rd June 2003:

skag converter :

druggies who nick stuff, who then sell the goods on to make money to buy drugs.

:(

YUk!
Posted by chandler, 16:24, 3rd June 2003:

mice are cute and fluffy
Posted by Grim..., 16:25, 3rd June 2003:

That's 90% of druggies, isn't it?

Oh, I'm soooooooooooooooo glad I don't 'do' drugs =]
Posted by Grim..., 16:26, 3rd June 2003:

I know chay, but you know what I mean.
Posted by chandler, 16:26, 3rd June 2003:

yeah
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 16:28, 3rd June 2003:

Rosie...i see now..do you know many druggies (skag converters)?
Posted by Rosie, 16:28, 3rd June 2003:

i missed all that drug shit when i was younger - thank god!

Foghorn: No/yes. I know them - but i don't buy anything off them really.
Posted by Grim..., 16:28, 3rd June 2003:

Can you get me a cheap PC?
Posted by plindoe, 18:19, 3rd June 2003:

...no but the skag converters could get you a good case of hepatitis or something else really fucking nice
Posted by Gary, 00:37, 4th June 2003:

Anyway... getting back on to the subject of this thread... can you give us a tracklisting for this CD Grim?

On a slightly related note, whilst we're all doing this CD thing, I'm quite tempted to put together a trancey CD - but I'm not too sure the uptake would be worth it...
Posted by chandler, 09:28, 4th June 2003:

well i for one would sell my grandmother for a trance cd mixed by dj gary

/sarcasm
Posted by beargod, 10:16, 4th June 2003:

I would prefer trance to house
Posted by arsepuppy, 10:17, 4th June 2003:

Wow! Trance!

*commits hara-kiri*

You wouldn't have to sell anything, Chay - I'd quite happily give you a copy for free. :P

I'm still thinking about it, though... I might knock something together when I have a little time.
