A bit old, yah.
she may or may not have been a call-girl or journalist, but her blog was not a blog.
she accidentally revealed it was a fiction in april 2004

Sheesh! The intrigue! I don't have time to read that all now, but I'll be reading it at home for sure!

Er, can I be a hopeless, lazy wench and ask you to explain exactly why that post is so telling? I've read through a bit higher up and a bit lower down and can't be arsed to read any more because it's a bit boring to be honest. Did get caught up in your blog though. :)
read the indented paragraph in my blogpost -- it lays out the reason why she could NOT have posted that if she was in fact blogging rather than writing fiction.

So the people that she wrote about should have ratted her out? But do you think there's a possibility that her friends and aquaintances didn't know she was BdJ?
you're getting it quite upside down, syl. suggest you read her blog post.

Ha!
news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news...
I think she's kinda cool. :)
But is a blog true by definition? I've always applied a fairly loose attitude to the truth whenever I blog.
Or talk, for that matter.

I'm quite painfully honest and personal in my blog. I think a blog is supposed to be true. My honest opinion is that Belle de Jour started the "blog" for fun and it ended up running away with her.

i know belle/brooke. have done for years. but i didn't know it was her
surely the question should be "how much?"?

she was an early uk blogger. came to the london blog meets
You stick to that story, we'll believe you. ;0)
cal, did she call herself brooke or belleDJ at the meets? ie, did she keep her blog or her name secret, face2face?
either way: cool.
one thing i noticed from a slip on her blog: her blog was fiction(alised). "based on a true story" rather than an actual blog. a real pity. she's a wonderful writer.
