I went in june of 2001, fantastic, never seen so many stunning women in my life, cheap quality lagers, not many people speak english but they are willing to engage in sign language. walk round the square of hero's and admire historic slaughterers of turks, sit by the banks of the danube in the sunshine and drink the day away.

and they sell hard-core pornography in esso stations right next to copies of the little mermaid
Posted by chandler, 10:35, 11th March 2003:

It was the Simpsons, the reference referred to Roger Meyer, creator of Itchy and Scratchy.

I may be wrong though.

I saw the little mermaid once, never again, appalling disney film from an appallling time

damn I can't spell
Posted by chandler, 12:22, 11th March 2003:

actually the little mermaid was the turning point, the start of the second golden age of disney films. Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladin, The Lion King.

Also the Little Mermaid was the last Disney feature to be coloured by hand.
Posted by chandler, 12:25, 11th March 2003:

also the chef was voiced by Odo from DS9.
Posted by chandler, 12:28, 11th March 2003:

its slow on here today. i expect it will pick up a bit in the pm it usually does
Posted by arsepuppy, 12:33, 11th March 2003:

Lion King was quality.

Went a bit downhill after that though (Pocahontas, Mulan, Hercules, Hunchback etc). Not to mention the crap made-for-video cash-in sequels they did.
Posted by chandler, 12:41, 11th March 2003:

yes. Pocahontas was the last one i saw at the cinema. i was less than impressed. ditto Mulan and Herc. They are watchable, but not good. Emperorers new groove is damned funny. and a nice refreshing change from musicals. more like a saturday morning cartoon, but very good. Atlantis was pretty weak. and so is "treasure planet" apparently. The name says it all really.

They need another Lion king or Aladin if they are going to get the Disney boat back on course
Posted by chandler, 12:42, 11th March 2003:

those sequel straight to video jobs were made by Disney Austrailia.
So what can you really expect from a bunch of convicts ;)
Posted by beargod, 12:45, 11th March 2003:

But thay are making sequels of peter pan and others. They can't do this its wrong, what is wrong with them
Posted by chandler, 12:47, 11th March 2003:

they made a sequel to Peter Pan it was called Return to Neverland. Awful Awful stuff. lady and the tramp 2, beauty and the beast 2, the only one that was OK was Return of Jafar (the sequel to Aladin) and that wasnt very good
Posted by arsepuppy, 14:04, 11th March 2003:
