According to an article in the guardian my music collection sucks. This isn't exactly fair though. I bought CDs at the time when they were cool - is it now the done thing to throw old CDs away?

I love my music collection. This article was written by a chart influenced snob who's left no room for any diversity at all. Basically it was written by an 11 year old girl!

I would say that it was written by someone who was recently mocked by friends/family about his music collection and therefore decided to try and make himself superior by ragging on CDs that the vast majority of the UK must own at least a few of.

Oh, and as of now I am only listening to S Club 7, that is until the cool kids tell me that they aren't cool anymore, then I will switch and claim I never like them.

I think what annoyed me most about that article was the fact that I was listening to Dummy this morning and it is a truely brilliant album, despite what the cool kids say.

I think I pick my music based upon how it affects my mood not how cool I am. I have almost all those in my collection that is listed and I wouldn't trade them in for the world. I don't care what my friend's think. Music is my outlet ... and I pick what I like ... not what someone tells me to get cause it's cool. I think music is apart of us. It links us to others with a common bond. It's funny ... my sister can tell what mood I am by what I listen to. She know's I'm stressed when I got Nina Simone blasting and she gets a kick out when I play the "bitch song" by Meredith Brooks ... cause I turn it all the way up and sing along to it.

Pick what you like and what makes you happy and tell those other people to fuck off. It they don't like it they can leave the room. >;o"
