Second is from "The Princess Bride" (and I think something similar is said in the Phantom Menace).

Of course, in Alabama, the Tusk-a-loosa. But, uh, that's entirely irrelephant to what I was talking about. We took some pictures of the native girls, but they weren't developed, but we're going back again in a couple of weeks!"
That'd be "Animal Crackers".
Sternwood: Do you like orchids?
Marlowe: Not particularly.
Sternwood: Ugh. Nasty things. Their flesh is too much like the flesh of men, and their perfume has the rotten sweetness of corruption.

pfft - easy.
Pulp Fiction.
the 1st - is a song in a movie.
the second quote - well, "kitty" and "jones" are one and the same.
oh, and the 3rd quote.... nup, it didn't come out recently
and it's not an army movie.... heheheh
Posted by
la, 04:58, 20th February 2002:
and you can't give me any more quotes until you figure out those 3!

reitsma, 05:13, 20th February 2002:
hey, i missed that song one, hadn't seen it before, i know the song... it's not the beatles movie, is it?
and i haven't seen alien, so the 2nd quote isn't fair!
and i know it's not an army movie, but they are army men! :o)
and for the song one, you could've chosen a much better quote, like:
"Why can't we pick out our own color? "
next quote:
"and your boyfriend's name is?"
"chuck."
(heh - i'm pretty sure it's chuck!)
Posted by
la, 05:21, 20th February 2002:
hey.... you just answered your own question (about the song one) with your "why can't we pick out our own colour" quote.
Fair-schmair - if you haven't seen the movie, then leave the quotes for the people who have.
and you have absolutely no excuse for not seeing Alien.
You should be ashamed of yourself!! =P
and we aint moving on until you pick the army men quote.

well la, why don't you try and guess mine? then YOU can spell it out, nice and clear.
*looks at cal's, and thinks of all current movies* ... blackhawk, behind enemy, hearts in atlantis, oceans 11, lord of the rings... hey, how do i know what's screening in the uk? (or wherever you are...) my guess - jay and silent bob? (haven't seen it, but it seems the most likely...)
"Stuck in the Middle With You", that old gem from Steeler Wheels, was in Reservoir Dogs.
The "third grade french" one, I think was in Ocean's Eleven.
"Can you hammer a railroad spike through a 2 by 4 with your penis?"
"No..."
"A girl's gotta have her standards."
Posted by
la, 22:39, 20th February 2002:

Posted by
la, 22:53, 20th February 2002:
megakelley - Real Genius??
these next 2 are fairly easy...
"Pardon my French, but Cameron is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his ass, in two weeks you would have a diamond."
"I'm a mog. Half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend!"
That'd be "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Space Balls".
"I'll fuck anything that moves!!"
(hint: Jason Mewes did not originally say this)
Posted by
la, 23:20, 20th February 2002:
well I was going to say Clerks, but now you got me....
Posted by
la, 23:38, 20th February 2002:
how about this one:
"What hump?"
Yay! Igor from "Young Frankenstein", a classic.
hint for mine: the quote was spoken (yelled) following a lip-synced rendition of Roy Orbison's "In Dreams" by a lipstick-wearing Dean Stockwell.
#2.
"On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy."
#3.
"If only you could see what I have seen with your eyes."

R1:
"wake up! time to die."
R2:
"i feel like a need a tetanus shot just looking at it, sir."
R3:
"what did ya want me to do? accuse him of cheating better than me in front of the others?"
my one clue - all three movies are VERY different. heh heh. very.
...and R4:
"and your boyfriend's name is?"
"chuck."
okay, i'm done now.

Cal-13:
"I choose Vodka. And Chaka Khan."

the ones left to get are:
R2:

R3:
"what did ya want me to do? accuse him of cheating better than me in front of the others?"
...and R4:
"and your boyfriend's name is?"

"I'll fuck anything that moves!!"

Sul-34:
"Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple."

I agree with Mikey - Sul 34 is definitely Willy Wonka.
and Sul 35 is from a Mad Max film.... can't remember which one though.

reitsma, the 'keep the pen' is from Grosse Point Blank.

MK-1:

cal-19:

I haven't actually seen it - just read the script.
But I think it's a great story
Posted by
Suzie, 02:39, 1st March 2002:
The movie is very well made.. I read the directors notes on the dvd, and it's very old school.. restricting the color pallette they use to emphasize mood, all sorts of things like that.. using cameras strapped to the actors for the drug scenes, to give a very disorienting effect.. defn. very cool

MK-8 IS Brain Dead, more widely known as "Dead Alive" (here in the States at least). Hard to pick one quote from Animal House but that one came to me first.
