This is a read-only copy. The forum ran on iamcal.com from 2000 until its database was lost in 2016, and this topic was rebuilt from copies saved by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Some replies may be missing.

Thinkblank presents: Meta Linker

What?

Like so many blog-related things, it's tootally unclear on what it actually does, assuming the reader has 100% prior knowledge, whereas many, like me, are only aware of blogdex' existance, not what it's really for.

Someone please explain to me in English!

Ell, it takes any given link (from a blog or wherever), and then via blogdex, finds other sites that also have that same link. Then it displays the list of other sites. ;) So in a way, you're sorta getting related content, but not totally. It's a step forward, at least. Here's a quote for you: "Simply speaking, Metalinker is a way of connecting weblog posts about a similar subject together."

Thanks for the clarification and to Ell for asking, cause I was wondering the same damn thing.
