Has anyone seen it?
Do you know that it's not a trailer for a film, but actually an advert for the new Mercedes that he's driving in it?

Shame, because I thought it looked really good...

Has anyone else seen the ad?

As like you, I haven't been watching TV. I will keep and eye out on it though.

I saw it when I went to see Minority Report for the second time. I had heard about the Lucky Man ad, but I still thought it was for a film until I saw the words Lucky Man, and there is nothing to suggest it is an advert, so what is the point. most people will just go away thinking "that film looks cool" and then forget all about it, when the film doesn't materialise. Unless it does become a film. Will it then be a good film or a cynical marketing ploy? hmm who knows.

And I saw the new Matrix trailer too. but I had seen it online. Looks far cooler on the big screen though. Coming 2003... Doh!
They don't seem to have a new hook though to make you think wow. last time we had bullet time etc. and this time it justs looks more of the same. Zzzzz. And Matrix RELOADED, give me a break.

"matrix reloaded" sounds like one of those awful compilation albums. what's wrong with "matrix 2"?

Chandler - the Lucky Man ad has worked incredibly well for Mercedes. Not only has it had a large coverage in the press, but the advert has also won awards for its originality.
It obviously won't work a second time, but hey.

What is "Matrix Reloaded"?

squirrell100 > I know it did well. But only cos of the press coverage. Putting babies on spikes in the shape of the Microsoft logo might also win awards for originality and would get MASSIVE press coverage! But that doesn't mean it isn't a bad idea. And I hate the fact that I am actually talking about it. God I hate advertising. I want to go to CUBA! Not much advertising there. Properganda, but not advertising. :) I would rather look at Castro's bearded face for all eternity than see another advert for "Consolodate your debts into one easy monthly payment..." :)

oh and
Matrix Reloaded is the official title for Matrix 2, followed by Matrix 3: Revolutions

sigh. has the world gone mad?

PS I didn't even notice that it was for a Mercedes, just some kind of upmarket car. So didn't work on me. But I want to see the non-existant movie though!

I thought it said "lucky star" not "luck man". Lucky star is probably a reference to the merc symbol (three pointed star in a circle for those who dont know).

yep you are right. it is lucky star.

(I didn't know what the merc symbol looked like. And I am proud of that!!!)
