EVERY time i have to travel through London they close half the underground. Now it's a known fact that I hate the underground but it is a necessary evil... yet they close it so I have to spend hours on it instead of half the time.

Why does London pick on me I am nice :)
Posted by ell, 15:25, 1st September 2002:

Agreed, London is evil. How was Ireland? You've forsaken your online breatheren for too long, Mr Chris! :P

Pah! London rocks. So what if the tube's half shut this weekend? Better that than be killed on your way from London Bridge and Straford... just wait until you're in Stratford for that :D

And why bother getting the fucking tube anyway? I'm too good for the tube. Its beneath me! *boom boom*

Stop being a skinflint and get a cab!

So anyway, how was Ireland?
Posted by chris, 18:05, 1st September 2002:

lol!!!!

Ireland was great, the Slane gig rocked and i had a damn good time all the time - thanks lads ;)

and Sully - i pride myself on being a skinflint!

Sul: Liking your underground joke :)
Posted by Victor Menendez, 19:07, 1st September 2002:

Not that the weathers cheaper up north of course.

London is a shit hole. End of thread.
Posted by chandler, 20:08, 1st September 2002:

The North is full of dog racing, flat cap wearing pidgeon fanciers with no jobs since the mines closed down and nothing better to do all day than wander around with dogs on small pieces of string, eating junk food and living in a council house sponging off the state. Discuss.

Note: this may or may not be my own view. it depends on whether people agree with this statement or not.

I tell a lie. it is my view

PS what is that box on the back of a satalite dish called?

A council house.

*Boom Boom*

London is not a shit hole and the north is full of nice friendly people (even if they do fancy pigeons).

However the satellite joke is v funny until I realise that my grandparents have a satellite dish. grr
Posted by Redmaiden, 00:41, 2nd September 2002:

London is pants, well there are some good clubs and shops, that's all it has going for it.

I don't know any pigeons or where the nearest mine is :p
Leeds fucking rox my pink sox!

Love london. Love the tube. Seriously. I currently live in Minneapolis (USA) where there are several million people and no public transport except a few sporadic buses. However I used to live in London, and I used to be able to have pints after work, blissfully fall asleep on the train, etc.... sigh. Now, I have to make car payments and drive home in loads of traffic. blaahhh! Bless the tube and bless hard cider.(We don't have that either.)
Posted by Grim..., 13:45, 2nd September 2002:

Hard Cider?
Lol =]

I want a fight, me and the london underground for 12 rounds in a ring... yeaaah....
Posted by MonkeyArmada, 16:33, 2nd September 2002:

Thinking about it, the last time I was in London they were shutting the tubes down as we got to the stations, three in a row. Long friggin walk to the train station, bastards, southern bastards.
Posted by MonkeyArmada, 16:34, 2nd September 2002:

Oh, yeah, not being able to walk in a straight line sux as well, bloody Londoners.
Posted by Grim..., 16:52, 2nd September 2002:

London is good because:
There are lots of things to do.
London is crap because:
Everyone is there doing those things already and you have to queue.

Notting Hill Carnival was so crowded this year it was a joke.
Posted by jeff, 18:54, 2nd September 2002:

notting hill carnival is so crowded every year. but kinda fun in a 'lots of random men giving me cigarettes' kinda way (i dont smoke)
but thats what happens when you put on a well publicised annual FREE event.
and london rawks. theres lots of things to do and you dont really need the tube most of the time, its quicker (and less sweaty) to walk.
what do northerners have? fields and 'local' pubs. yeah. so there
Posted by Victor Menendez, 19:22, 2nd September 2002:

Yep, thats the north, Fields and locals.

Ever been north of watford jeff?
Posted by chandler, 19:35, 2nd September 2002:

fields (abandonded mines), locals (scrubbers) and scum (scum).
Posted by Victor Menendez, 20:20, 2nd September 2002:

Thats true, apart from the abandoned mines.

Its a well known fact that there are no scrubbers or scum in the south.

P.S. how you getting on with those refugees down there?
Posted by cal, 21:06, 2nd September 2002:

i live in leicester 6 months out of the year. its horrible. i've been to leeds, its alright.. but then its a city, cities are ok.. its when you stray from the city limits, then you're in trouble... but once you get a bit further north and into scotland then you're ok! mmm scottish men...mmmmm...

Posted by sal, 18:00, 3rd September 2002:
