Title: The Eye of the World
Author: Robert Jordan
Rating: 5/5

First book in the "Wheel of Time" series. If you like Tolkein-esk fantasy, go read it now! The series currently stands at 9 books (10th due out this Nov, and more still to come!) forming one huge epic of a story arc.

I'm currently on Book 2 (The Great Hunt) - now that resit exams are over, I plan to spend the rest of the holiday reading every last one of them.

You don't appear to be reading it. GO NOW!

I have read them all, want me to tell you what happens :)

Try it, and I'll bludgeon you to death with Timmy's Mallet. :P

I'm part way through "The Dragon Reborn" now, and loving every minute of it. :D Who needs a job when there's reading to be done?

And if you think its good now, wait till you get to book five!

The only downside to WOT is that fool robert jordan releases them every two years or so, the next one (Book 10) is out in january but he is quoted as saying there will be 12 books, i am starting to worry that he will die before he finishes (Have you seen a photo of him?)

Lord of Chaos, Book 6. So very cool! Just waiting for Rand to use the big sa'angreal statues... it's gotta happen.

Yes, but is it wise to trust the whisperings of a man who tried to make Rand shatter one of the seals on the Dark One's prison when Mazim Torean gave him it? :-\

I've read some of those books but I need to start from the beginning again.

I wanna be an Aes Sedai when I grow up

Urgh, it's gonna be at least 2 years before book 12 comes out. :(

If you like those books though, i highly recommend George RR Martins 'A song of ice and fire' series.
