Title: Nessaja
Artist: Scooter
Rating: 4/5
I know that singles aren't really covered here but I just have to be vocal about Scooters new single, Nessaja (pronounced Nessala). It's one of the best singles that Scooter, and band I have liked for the last twelve years, has ever brought out. The UK remix (Track 2 on the single, fact fans) is
fantastic, even if over long at 7 minutes (and with no real mix points... Grr). Once again, Radio One are totally failing to give the song any airtime, even though it entered the charts at number four. It is, however, going down well in the clubs (mostly the UK mix) and Scooter looks set to get a number one real soon.
Some trivia to finish off with. The painted cow is a cow they used to take on tour with them which had Scooter written down the side in purple paint. Skippy is a rave kangeroo, and Dave (who was on the train) is a bloke from Sheffield (the record label, not the place) who first got his name mentioned in
Fuck The Millennium.

Argh! I thought The Logical Song was terrible (though the high-pitch vocal is quite catchy), but this is beyond words! There are various mixes of this track knocking around. We have -
Nessaja (Radio Edit)
Nessaja (Original)
Nessaja (Extended)
Nessaja (The Ultimate Club Mix)
Nessaja (Clubstar UK Mix)
Nessaja (Flip & Fill Remix)
It's not a complete list; there are a few other mixes that I haven't mentioned.
Now, I've not actually heard any of the mixes, but the original is pretty damn awful, so if anyone has pulled off a decent remix I'd be pleasantly surprised. Good on Radio 1 for keeping shite like this off the airwaves for once!
I can't believe it made the charts at number four! Especially when excellent tunes like trance anthem 7 Cities by Solar Stone didn't even chart (the Armin Van Buuren remix is absolutely awesome).

Hello?
Radio one is supposed to represent the popular music at the time. This entered the charts at number four, and even then was still not on Radio One's play lists.
How is this meant to impress people?

Radio one is supposed to represent the popular music at the time.
But it never does because Radio 1 is shite (apart from the more specialised dance programs, of course).
But please, it's a god damn awful tune! I'm fed up of hearing this euro trash - some people even have the nerve to call this dance music! It's exactly this rubbish that is killing proper dance music.
Look at 7 Cities by Solar Stone for example. One of the biggest trance tunes of 1999, re-released in 2002, and remixed by the awesome Armin Van Buuren - it never even made the top 40. Moreover, Radio 1 never even play listed it!

[I have removed my post cos I realised that I know NOTHING about this subject and I was just looking for another argument. and one argument per day is plenty. I am still taking the tablets, but the doctor has insisted on increasing the doseage. That is all.]

Hehe, these are all the same song, with different names =]
Nessaja (Original)
Nessaja (Extended)
Nessaja (The Ultimate Club Mix)
That's a good way to make some money.
