its obviously been written as a joke though. you can tell by the tone of it. Unless that was the way I read it. Plus some of the grammar is very suspect. Are you sure it isnt just a weird mate's way of inviting you to go and visit him? or don't you have weird friends?

I work weekends now DAMN IT!. I get Wednesdays and Thursdays of though. so come tuesday I will be happy. But at the moment it is Friday which is technically Monday

I work every other weekend, it sucks! I also have to work til 9:30 somtimes too, this also sucks!

For five years now, ever since I started working part-time at this horrible place to pay my way through College and University, unless I'd booked it off as holiday or was given it off (which happens once in a blue moon), I've had to work almost every Saturday and Sunday.

Now I've got my degree, I'm currently looking for a 'proper' job - and one that hopefully won't involve working weekends! :)

I worked in the summer before uni, got student loan, havent worked at all during the first 2 year of uni, still have plenty of cash. Mind you I don't smoke, hardly drink and dont have a mobile so that cuts the costs down a bit.

mobile/drink/fags and working at safeway vs none of those and not working at safeway.

I chose the latter.

Hell how can I even call myself a proper student if I dont smoke, rarely drink and dont have a mobile?

Oh and Uni is in Middlesbrough possibly the cheapest place in Britain with £30 a week rent. so that might have something to do with my rather flush monitary situation.

Same here. Though I do own a mobile, which come to think of it, I hardly use since I have no friends and therefore, rarely get asked for my number.

Oh sorry to suggest otherwise about the smoking. Just a lot of students do. I think the location of my Uni has something to do with my funds.
