with the b3ta profiles, did you have to add background-color and color properties inline for the divs with front page pics?

i'd been playing about prettying up mine, and now it doesn't look quite right.

Yeah I got a problem: Why are we now on www3? I just had to log in again and I really am not in the mood for extra work!

So why the afternoon move?
Posted by Gary, 20:00, 2nd December 2002:

Apart from having to login again, there appears to be nothing wrong at the moment. :)
Posted by cal, 20:12, 2nd December 2002:

bananaman: well, i could change it to a class so you can override it...

sul: because www still points to the old server. give it about 24 hours to swap back.

anyone else: if you wait until www3 goes away, you wont have to re-login

Yeah , my toaster would not work this morning and I think it has something to do with your site. Can you please check and get back to me?

Why the move?

I've got this big long hair growing out of my shoulder, whats going on there?
Posted by eatmypiano, 09:28, 3rd December 2002:

I've just noticed that I don't work. Should I mention it?
Posted by cal, 09:50, 3rd December 2002:

bananaman: done

grim: all of my sites have moved onto a better server

the rest of you: grr
Posted by Grim..., 12:12, 3rd December 2002:

I like the better server - it has better graphics than your old one. On this new one, the fonts are much clearer and the lines better defined.
Posted by Grim..., 12:14, 3rd December 2002:

And the sound is better - does the new server have surround sound speakers?
Posted by Grim..., 12:15, 3rd December 2002:

And it loads faster - the new server must boot up quicker.
Posted by Grim..., 12:15, 3rd December 2002:

And the new server has more space - the site is more spread out so I can open my window wider.
Posted by Grim..., 12:16, 3rd December 2002:

And the XHTML at the bottom of this page seems to have stopped working - but I guess it will start working again when the server changes names?
Posted by Grim..., 12:16, 3rd December 2002:

Does the server have to do that via depol?
Posted by Grim..., 12:17, 3rd December 2002:

That's good of it to do that for you, it must like you... It's worth the £80 or so it costs - www3 is a bit silly...
Posted by Grim..., 12:17, 3rd December 2002:

(Says the man who owns a site on www26)...
Posted by Grim..., 12:17, 3rd December 2002:

I'm pretty bored at work...
Posted by Grim..., 12:18, 3rd December 2002:

But then I guess you already knew that...
Posted by Grim..., 12:18, 3rd December 2002:

Only 12 minutes until lunchtime!
Posted by Grim..., 12:18, 3rd December 2002:

And then only five hours until hometime!
Posted by Grim..., 12:18, 3rd December 2002:

Then only 21 days until Christmas!
Posted by Grim..., 12:19, 3rd December 2002:

What do you all want for Christmas?
Posted by Grim..., 12:19, 3rd December 2002:

Posted by Grim..., 12:19, 3rd December 2002:

Um...
Posted by Grim..., 12:19, 3rd December 2002:

Maybe a cool server like Cals.
Posted by Grim..., 12:20, 3rd December 2002:

With good graphics and sounds and stuff...
Posted by Grim..., 12:20, 3rd December 2002:

Anyway...

so, do we have a record for highest number of consecutive posts?
Posted by cal, 22:50, 3rd December 2002:

i think sul holds that. granted, he was posting from two accounts (him and his pc!?) but it was about 40 messages iirc
Posted by Grim..., 09:53, 4th December 2002:

That's a record I may be tempted to go for...
Posted by Redmaiden, 22:09, 4th December 2002:

I couldn't access the site at all yesterday evening
Posted by cal, 08:22, 5th December 2002:
