I just looked at the ammount of toys on my desk, there's quite a few:

A Mickey Mouse figurine - Stolen
A Sulley (monsters inc) figurine - of course ;)
A Tiny little games workshop dwarf - Just appeared one day.
An Alice Cooper Cuddly Teddy - From Monsters of Rock
A "Daniel" Teddy - Bought for me in thanks of something.
A foot and half tall Origami Rolfaroo - Made last night
An origami Santa Kangaroo (7 inches tall) - Also made last night
Kylie Minogue Advent Calender - My mum bought it for me :)
One deck of normal playing cards - stolen from a pub in Swansea
One deck of tapered playing cards - for amusment
One deck of playing cards of which half are the 3 of clubs - also for amusment
One Viz annual - for that intellectual read
One Groucho Marx glasses/nose/tash combo disguise - bought to comiserate 25 years of death.

And I think thats it.

Rolf's Cartoon Club from the telly? i can vaguely. i just used to ignore all the crap drawings by the kids and wait for someone to make a flickbook.

That facial percussion thing he would do at the end was cool. Like if he was trying to send morse code messages quickly to his partially deaf teeth.

That acapella theme tune rocked too. Drive-By Bukkake could cover that for their first song!!
Posted by Sul, 14:17, 5th December 2002:

Oh yes they should!

And the music video could be one of DD's old flickbook attempts. One of the first things I do when I get a new set of postits is to make a flick book thing. They're always shit though.

Posted by Sul, 11:45, 7th December 2002:

Oooooh speaking of 5 1/4 inch floppy drives, I used to have a HGTTG text adventure game (which I was hopeless at) years ago but have since lost it. Does anyone have a copy?

I also still have said floppy drive, but haven't used it in years
Posted by arsepuppy, 12:09, 7th December 2002:

Thankyou for that information Chay.

If you have 4 copies of 2DTV on DVD why not run a competition for a copy.

Hoorah for Sul.

I hear the game is rather skewed and quite taxing on the grey cells.

And as for those DVDs, one is mine, two for family chirstmas presents and one for a mate who expressed interest.

(I only got one copy free, I had to buy the other three, admittedly for a considerable discount (£7 each))
Posted by cal, 21:57, 7th December 2002:

the game is VERY hard. i never completed it
Posted by chandler, 22:09, 7th December 2002:

I'll never complete the web one cos you cant save the bloody thing! I managed to get up, take a tablet and brush my teeth, then I died, then everyone died. I scored 10 out of 400. Not bad for a first attempt. :)
Posted by cal, 22:13, 7th December 2002:

err, the web? don't you mean the game?
Posted by chandler, 22:28, 7th December 2002:

"I'll never complete the web one"

No I mean the web one, the Java version that sul provided a link to. That is the game, in web form, without a save function. hence my never likely to finish it statement :)
Posted by angel_mouse, 23:00, 7th December 2002:

-a huge stack of CDs which fall down every other day
- loads of empty bottles
- snow domes
-lollipops
-crap

-oh, and a computer
Posted by Sul, 23:05, 7th December 2002:

I just died in the Vogon ship hold :(

What we need is a peice of software that will dump all the memory to disk then let you boot again with that at will. Then you will have kinda saved the game. Like when you hibernate a PC but letting you dump and boot with it at anytime you like... or bug someone to actually write the save function into the game... or get a proper copy of the bloody game!

he heh

Its a z-code interpreter for many platforms including palm OS. Z-code was what the infocom games were written in. I got all my info on it here: www.latz.org/infocom

Incidenlty, Cal had a go with z-code here. In which I am yet to get any further than throwing the iMac out of the office window.
