I'm assuming this is it:

The Game of Life was invented by John Conway (as you might have gathered). The game is played on a field of cells, each of which has eight neighbors (adjacent cells). A cell is either occupied (by an organism) or not. The rules for deriving a generation from the previous one are these:
Death: If an occupied cell has 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 occupied neighbors, the organism dies (0, 1 neighbors: of loneliness; 4 thru 8: of overcrowding).
Survival: If an occupied cell has two or three neighbors, the organism survives to the next generation.
Birth: If an unoccupied cell has three occupied neighbors, it becomes occupied.

Screensavers are so 1996. I used to use power saving features, back when I had my CRT. But now that I'm using an LCD at home, there's really no need to save more power than I already am just by using an LCD. You follow?
Posted by Sul, 09:07, 8th December 2002:

Pah! Power saving is for wimps! The Electricity board thinks anyone who doesnt use at least £30 a week is a big girls blouse!

The television, video, two lights and Nintendo are on in my bedroom, yet I sit in my front room with the television, video, sky, computer, light, printer and stereo all on.

I eat electricity and drink battery acid.

Er, belive me or not, but i couldn't find that explanation then. now that i read it, its like a cross between tetris and minesweeper.

But less interesting.

I am quite good with electricity - apart from my PC sound system which has a tendency to dim the rooms lights if I turn it up real loud =]
