Was just looking over some of the old Topics of The Day and noticed one about games and a top 5 from each person. I just noticed that the game I am mildly *obsessed* with (Counter-Strike) featured on quite a few people's answers to the question. Do I take it I am not the only guy who sits at a PC every evening (after being on one all day aswell) to frag like it's my last?

I've been playing CS since Beta 4 ( sad I know seeing as I'm now 21 and it's in version 1.5 =| ) and I still find, even though the graphics are nothing compared to Q3 and the new generation Unreal engine powered games (and ultimately the new Doom 3 Engine), it still rocks my World. It _FORCES_ me to sit there and play until 3-4am sometimes.

How can a game based around a simple team based principle drive rational people to play it for an unhealthy length of time? I even upgrade my PC according to my FPS in CS....WHY do I do this? It's madness, I've actually bought a 2.53Ghz Northwood P4, Abit IT7-MAX2 mobo, 431 Watt Enermax PSU, 512 MB Corsair XMS DDRAM and a 19" Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454 monitor. BUT WHY?

So I can play CS at a healthy 100fps constant. Someone God please tell me why I have a fascination with anything fps related. =|
