Name: Dan Sullivan (nick is self explanitory after learning this fact)
Age: 20
Gender: I'm just a poor boy
Occupation: IT support for Sainsburys
Location: Swanscombe, Kent. Just outside of London
Funny Story: Last Sunday I was awoken to the sound of my house phone ringing. I decided to ignore it as it was only 11AM. But after the ringing ceased it started again. Fearing this may continue I decided to answer the call before I was too awake to go back to sleep until the eastenders omnibus starts. I was greeted by the sound of my friend Tasha fretting that she had lost her purse and had she left it at mine the previous night. I had a quick scout around with no luck and informed her of my lack of findings. She reluctently hung up and let me get back to bed. 10 minutes later I was yet again awoken by Tasha. She told me that she was about to cancel all her cards and could I have a look around the car park for it quickly. I looked - no purse, I announced this to her with a tone that I thought sounded like "Now don't bother me again!". Now fully woken by my venture into the car park I decided to take full advantage of my parents trip to Paris and raid their fridge. So I spent the next few hours sitting in my parents house, living like a king off their food. At 7 o'clock I give Tasha a call to see if she had any luck with her purse. She hadnt and had apparently been crying and having a mare about it all day (it was one of those rediculously expensive purses, Louis Vitton is it?). Anyways I went back home planning to have a quick bath and then pop to the pub. When lifting an old copy of FHM off a chair that tasha was using as a makeshift table I noticed there was a tiny purse under it. I didnt think that when she said purse she meant a purse, I thought she meant the miny handbag she was carrying with her. Well anyway I phoned her and was received as half-hero half-tosser. This sounded much more funny when I told it to other people. Maybe I should've typed the story of the mad Canadian I met at Union Station in Toronto. Or mad Frenchman. Oh well, other peoples go.

Story - Well, my girlfriend, bless her heart, has Cystic Fybrosis (and is very, very ill at the moment). This means (laymans terms) that she gets fluid on her lungs, and coughs a lot.
Last year she got really bad and was coughing up a lot of mank (eww). I borrowed her car to pick up some disco equipment and was a touch hung over, so I brought some Lucozade and jammed it in my door pocket. My girlfriend also likes Lucozade, and had had some a few days previously. She had used the empty bottle to store the, ahem, grey manky phlegm that she coughed up.

Stopped in traffic, picked up the wrong bottle, didn't look, gulp gulp gulp (realization) boom - head out of window, and you can guess the rest.

Funny Story When I was in middle school, I had a group of friends. We all dressed up in sunglasses and listened to Duran Duran. There were six of us it didn't add up you see. Everyone had a Duran Duran boyfriend but me. I wasn't dating Nick Rhodes, I wasn't dating Andy Taylor, I wasn't dating John Taylor, I wasn't dating Bill Taylor, I wasn't dating Simon Le Bon! I was sitting on the couch with my collar up, a tear in my eye and an aching in my heart. And my converse on; glow in the dark with big fat laces, zebra striped converse on!

I was in a very bad mood over a lot of things that had happened and was out with the usual people and Catlow (remember him!) suggested I should release my anger on something. Well as we were at a fair ground and they had the punch ball test your strength things I gave it a good clout and put all my weight behind it.
Ended up in plaster for five weeks!!!
Not my most shining of moments really :)

cal, 21:09, 25th January 2003:
not too clever.
you still see catlow then - anyone else? and is he married to that girl yet? (rachel?)
Posted by
luke, 22:06, 25th January 2003:
Nope not really that clever of me :)
I still see Catlow. He isn't married to Rachel yet but it won't be much longer before they do (which is gonna be fun seeing as I am best man!!).
Erm, who else do I see: Tim, Jonny, Ali, Cherry, Steve, James Owen, Stu Tweedale, Fletcher, Colin Steiner. Haven't seen Joyce or Leach in months though!

cal, 23:52, 25th January 2003:

No, that's true. I should work on a much higher level of humour. It's just not funny when people can spot what songs you're singing.
I guess I'd better start making jokes about PHP instead, or something...

Last gig: McAlmont & Butler, Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh
Best gig: Three-way tie between the Manics at a small club in Lund, Sweden in 1998; Del Amitri, at Barrowlands in Glasgow in May 2002; and World Party in Edinburgh in 1993/4. I realise this suggests terrible things about my taste in music, and they're probably all true - but I do also like a lot of stuff that others that post here seem to like (Radiohead, Counting Crows, Portishead, ....).
Next Gig: Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man at Barrowlands on 27th Feb, unless I have too much work to do...
