did any one else watch the adventures of willy fog - you know, that big dog thing or whatever the hell it was, who went around the world in 80 days?

80scartoons.8k.com/willyfog.html this site says he was a dog but the picture shows that he was blatantly a lion
Posted by
chandler, 16:11, 21st January 2003:
the same site then says:
Based upon the famous Jules Verne story, 80 Days Around the World with Willy Fog was a cartoon series starring a variety of animal characters, with Willy Fog as a lion. His companions were his butler Rigadon, a raccoon/chipmunk-type thing, and Tiko, a mouse. The Evil Transfer was the evil weasel, and Romy was the love interest, in the form of a cat.

No - it was a bit strange in some parts. Eg; The little bum licking mouse thing that followed them around in dungerees.

Grim... The cars never actually talked, they had on board computers, Wheels in Tess's Red 64 Mustang and Roadie in Dan's Blue Hotrod. This was one of my favourite EVER cartoons. Along with MASK.
Who remembers "The Toxic Avenger"? That rocked too.

Can't believe I haven't mentioned this sooner!!
Who remembers the Family Ness????
McTout blows on his bagpipes,
whilst Elspeth & Angus watch those notes go floating across the Waves.
Ferocious-Ness appears at once, and grabs a note or two for lunch,
And the whole of the Family Ness is not too far behind
Sporty-Ness leaps over him,
Turns up-side-down and dives back in,
And the beautiful Lovely-Ness shows she's the kissing kind!
Eyewit-Ness comes up for air,
And taking notes without a care,
He turns, with a crash, and a bash and and a splash,
To the Family Ness......

From; "80's Cartoons"
"Surely about half of these are 80's cartoons? I always saw He-Man, Thundercats and the crew as symbolic of the market-led economy of the 80's, Thatcher and the Falklands War...
But, "BLATANTLY", these cartoons are far superior to what the kids are watching today. Why do these cartoons create such nostalgia? Will there be a big late 90's early 00's revival in a few years time?"
No! This nostalgia is just trying to make up for the fact that things are dull these days. When a serious discussion of "Family Ness" beats any other issue hands down, it makes you wonder what else people have in common apart from an internet connection and usually living in the Home Counties.
