Lets launch a daily feature. my album of today is:

Embrace, The good will out.

whats yours?

For those of you who work in musically challenged workplaces, what are you humming?
Posted by ilovebeerme, 14:14, 22nd January 2003:

The first staff officer jumped right over the second staff officers back from O! What a lovely War. Which is weird cause I havn't seen it for about 15 years.

My work place is very musically challenged. No radio even and if we did it would be on nothing but Classic FM due to the moaning I'd recieve from anything else being played. I hate it here.

Our office picks today:

Album:
Small Faces - Ogden's Nut Gone Flake

In Rotation:
Ultramagnetic MCs - Critical Beatdown
Cornershop - ....7th Time
Flaming Lips - Soft Bulletin

Where I work part-time (the soon to be extinct Safeway), they often stick a dodgy CD on rotation, which plays through the speakers around the store (cutting out briefly when there is an announcement). Needless to say, the dodgy CD selection makes working there even more unbearable. Amongst various other tunes going around in my head at the moment, the two that I frequently hum the melody to are:

Hiver & Hammer Feat. Javah - 5 Million Miles
Rui Da Silva Feat. Victoria Horn - Feel The Love

That made my baby fall in love with me.

Who put the bomp in the bomp-a-bomp-a-bomp?
Who put the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong?
Who put the bop in the bop sh-bop sh-bop?
Who put the dip in the dip da dip da dip?
Who was that man? I'd like to shake his hand,
He made my baby fall in love with me.

The main song thats in my head at the minute is "sex farm" by Spinal Tap. I have just watched it on DVD and am once again, completely taken aback at how good their songs are. Might watch the second one tonight!!

Mr Leo: I think Mr Worm means the 2nd disc in the Tap DVD thing. It has over an hour of extra footage and that. I love that film, fooking A.

There was a Spinal Tap 2 (well sort of). It was a TV Movie made in 1998, and had the same people in. Amazon sell it on DVD. I've not seen it but I've heard it's a bit poo and somewhat of a cash-in. Shame really.

Spinal Tap 2 is a live Gig they did in London. It is quite good. You have to 'feel the power' as they do their rock ballad with 'Cher' and laugh as Nigel gets stuck on the swing wires at the beginning. Very funny. You really have to a spinal tap fan to appreciate it!

now listening to goldfrapp but have eminem in my head (saw 8 mile last night)

There is no insanity, rather a super sanity
More suited for life at the end of the 20th century
Where everything is art
And everything is trying to express it
Where everything is art
And everything is trying to communicate it...

All intelligent beings sleep the dreaming of dreams
And they've all come up to meet met tonight
Although while in the morning, all their wonder and their
Glory was turned ugly and quite simple
Like a venue when you're loading in gear

Sexuality, eroticism in asexual persuasions
Man or woman, makes no difference in the outcome
No fashion, no tolerance for stupidity or ignorance
..."adidas" or "the arch deluxe"...
And time is now an object

Oh my fucking god...
Oh I'm fucking god...
And I'll dream this into becoming real

And until such time that you can prove me otherwise
I will continue with my agnostic travels
Until I've found a place that dreams with me...
...a place that feeds on my routine

All I want is my mommy...
All I want is my mommy...
All I want is my mommy...
All I want is my mommy...

This is the night that it all changes

My my, at Waterloo Napoleon did surrender
Oh yeah, and I have met my destiny in quite a similar way
The history book on the shelf
Is always repeating itself

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - Finally facing my Waterloo

My my, I tried to hold you back but you were stronger
Oh yeah, and now it seems my only chance is giving up the fight
And how could I ever refuse
I feel like I win when I lose

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - Finally facing my Waterloo

And how could I ever refuse
I feel like I win when I lose

Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - Finally facing my Waterloo

Nice one, was hummming along to Electric Soft Parade (which someone on this site recommended)
and now I have Waterloo in my head.

Saw "Mamma Mia" at the theatre last week - so I think I have Abba on the brain. Also saw "Jesus Christ Superstar" this week. (We let our parents each pick theatre tickets for Christmas... so we are seeing a lot musicals right now... )

Sebastian Bach was Jesus -- surprisingly good for an old heavy metal singer -- he was a little obsessed with his own hair, though.
