I have a Tiny machine and a Dell machine - I'd recommend both Dell and Tiny. Those Alienware systems look well cool, though!

oh they rock. even their laptops are gaming machines! and all have a range of paint jobs available. on the desktop systems even the mouse and keyboard are colour coordinated. Which is a nice touch. And you get a free t-shirt

oh and if I got one I think I would go for the yellow. Monitors cost extra though. but that is good cos you can have it without a monitor if you have one (or more) perfectly decent monitors left over from your last system then the last thing you want is to be forced to pay for a monitor just cos it is part of the package.

you can get it with a DVD burner. thats nice

I was about to recommend Alientware too- never bought from them myself, but they come highly praised from all the Gamers I've talked to.

Build yer own puter, Chris II! :P

Yeah I too am recommending them despite never having brought one. I remember looking at them a couple of years ago but then they were only available in the US. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but their covers are so damned cool.

I was going to build my own at somepoint, but not sure it is worth it. I guess I could get exactly what I want but could I build it cheaper and get a better spec, than if I just got a ready made one?

two word answer. computer fairs. buy stuff. stick it together. paint it black. stay home nights naked with a cincilla on your lap. aaaaaah.

Build your own, its cheaper and you get better quality. alienware looks cool, but they use cheap material. You can build a computer that looks way better for a lot cheaper.

Actually, supposedly computers are supposed to be cheaper if you buy a whole one, rathe4r then the bits, I don't see how, but that is what the experts say

You want it for gaming get an alienware machine. Thats what they are built for and they are the best looking I've ever seen.

I say build your own. Its as easy as lego, and although it does cost about the same as buying a ready-made one, you'll have less trouble upgrading it than if you bought a dell. and its fun and rewarding, of course. and you don't have to wait 10 months for it to arrive, just get the bits overnight and build it in 4 hours.
