So I'm standing in a classroom giving a talk on Blogs to a group of teenagers from a very academic school.

It goes without saying that one of the sites on my list of examples of weblogs with communities was iamcal.com.

Imagine my surprise when the school's content filter bans the girls from viewing the site.

What have you lot been up to?

does it block swearing? if so there lies your problemo
Posted by nico, 12:24, 24th February 2003:

Probably. If you think about all the sites it lets through, though, it is quite ironic.

Poor little darlings are really missing out though.

Yup, at my college iamcal is blocked. It gives you a little caption explaining why, and iamcal comes under the category of "Adult Material."
