Posted by
Rosie, 14:17, 25th February 2003:

Something posh ppl munch?
Posted by

....actually
I want just ice cream and jelly and vaaaaaaaaaaaaaast amounts of stella at the reception...
Posted by
chandler, 14:30, 25th February 2003:
actually its foie gras but i spelt it wrong. they stuff a goose or ducky with nasty things to make its liver swell up really big, then they cut the liver out. that is foie gras. yum yum
Posted by
chandler, 14:30, 25th February 2003:
its very posh and expensive
Posted by
Rosie, 14:37, 25th February 2003:
OMG- that is revolting!
Posted by
donnie, 14:46, 25th February 2003:
ice cream and jelly all the way!
That was so disgusting i had to make myself a bacon sandwich
Posted by
donnie, 14:53, 25th February 2003:
btw - at which point is the goose or ducky dead?
Posted by
chris, 14:58, 25th February 2003:
I feel left out now. *pout*
Then come meet the two of us in LA! I'm saying this having no idea how cheap or expensive US internal flights are...
Posted by
chandler, 15:06, 25th February 2003:
btw - at which point is the goose or ducky dead?
just before they take its liver. its alive when they are force feeding it stuff for days. they kill it just before it bursts I think.
Posted by
donnie, 15:08, 25th February 2003:
phew, sounded kinda temple of doom before you cleared that up for me... ;)
Posted by
Rosie, 15:09, 25th February 2003:
ARRGGGG!! That should be made illegal! Its sick! What do they feed them on - like special shit and stuff? Poor things....
Posted by
Grim..., 15:10, 25th February 2003:
Steady, steady.
At this point I think it should be mentioned that foie gras is actually pate, made from duck or chicken liver like most other types of pate.
It's very nice.
All pate animals are fed hormones to make their liver swell, I don't think it's anything to do with the foie gras itself - after all, that sort of thing hasn't been going on for long, but foie gras is centuries old.
Posted by
donnie, 15:11, 25th February 2003:
oh, ok i feel much better now :)
maybe that's why Pate looks the same coming out...
Posted by
Rosie, 15:11, 25th February 2003:
I only eat chicken, no other meat. I dont eat their livers and shit though. It just sounds a bit harsh....
:(
Posted by
donnie, 15:13, 25th February 2003:
so this is going to now be KFC, ice cream and jelly?
Posted by
Rosie, 15:14, 25th February 2003:
Yes Sir! I love KFC.
As oppose to eating their legs and things which is not harsh?
You love KFC!!?!?! Eh? And you think making Pate is barbaric?
Whats KFC got to do with chicken?
Posted by
Rosie, 15:23, 25th February 2003:
HANG ON!!!
i merely mentioned that stuffing a goose or whatever the hell it was, was a bit rough - thats all. I personally wouldn't eat it.
Posted by
Rosie, 15:25, 25th February 2003:
And pls don't tell me any yukky stories about KFC/Kentucky Fried Cock and put me off eating it!
Posted by
donnie, 15:28, 25th February 2003:
I love KFC... it is the food of gods... and i eat pate too.
Look it's our wedding and we'll eat what we like!!!!!

PS They are NOT fat.
Posted by
Rosie, 15:52, 25th February 2003:
No! They have been to college and shit and I'm seen as the "black sheep". The oldest one tells me off for swearing/farting/burping, but my youngest sis laughs!
Posted by
Rosie, 15:52, 25th February 2003:
SUl: See how I didn't take offence...
Posted by
Grim..., 15:53, 25th February 2003:
So, they don't have filthy mouths and minds to match?
Damn.
but the younger one laughs at Rosie's 'foul mouth' .. she must approve then..nice :D
Posted by
Sul, 15:56, 25th February 2003:
Why would you take offence? None was meant. Your down-to-earth bluntness is refreshing in a world of increasing preppyness.
i didn't say they WERE fat, i just want the more 'generously proportioned' one.
Posted by
Sul, 15:57, 25th February 2003:
Oh, and if you're happy to pimp your sisters then I'm sure you love them enough to give me and vic their phone numbers :)

Posted by
chandler, 10:09, 30th April 2003:
he saw into the future.
but the signs were already there
There is an area of Edinburgh called The Gyle. It is on the outskirts and has a big shopping centre and loads of new offices and so on. Anyway, when the shopping centre had just been completed there was, on the slip road into the carpark, a sign attached to a lampost. It was your standard sign about two feet wide and had written in big letters:
EXPERIMENTAL SIGN
It was great I was upset when they took it down.
