Gigs at Slane Castle and Glasgow Green on August 23rd and 24rth respectively. More bands to be announced. 35 earth pounds. Tickets on sale Saturday 1st March 9am.
I know you might not care just thought I'd spread the word.
Oh yes, i shall be at Glasgow green.
I think the tickets will sell out in an hour or two so it means an early rise on Saturday. Still well worth it.
Saw the chilis two weeks ago and they were awesome. All excited now.
Apparently Queens of The Stone Age are also confirmed for Slane castle. Shaping up to be a dam fine gig.
"The Red Hot Chili Peppers will play a spectacular open-air concert in place of the annual Gig on the Green Festival, which has been scrapped. The band are promising their most ambitious show ever in Scotland with four huge video screens and a fireworks finale. "
Nice one.

Don't think I'll manage on Friday as I'm out on the piss with the Irish straight after work. These plans are liable to change though so I'll keep you posted. Where you heading on Friday? Or is it a random pub crawl?
Also PJ Harvey is now confirmed for Slane also. No word on Glasgow yet.
No idea mate, i never remember the names of pubs in edinburgh..we always end up in either the Traverse (theatre bar) or Iguana. I think thats what it is called...i shall ask nibbler and let you know.

not really into either of them but PJ Harvey would be brilliant to see.
WOO HOO gonna be a blinder. Just gotta wait till august now.
On the subject of gigs, I saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs last night. They are the best band you will ever see. And Har Mar Superstar is your new hero. Bow down now, kids.
Is he a Her-Mer superstar like Elton John in a geordie accent?
He's a big fat guy with a porn tache and a mullet that prances around in kecks singing songs about shagging. he rules.
Like Buster Bloodvessel from bad manners?
