Well, to be honest, I don't really got it. My answer didn't work, so I tried a few numbers and that method seemed to work! ;)
hint: (Number of times purple appears) should be something like 12, I think. So all you have to do is multiply this with a number.

The film trivia adding one is annoying me. I'm confident I'm getting all the right answers, but getting "24852" isn't working! Argh! I've tried doing it with adding 571 and then with taking 571 (as the film is U-571) and using 75 (for magnificent 7 AND famous 5) and 12 (by adding them together) and doing 7 brothers and 7 brides (total, fourteen) or just with 7...

Although I guess I haven't tried every possible permutation.

This is not a request for help, but I just wondered if any of the folk that have reached the end of stage 1 and sent off their answers ever got a reply and are working away at higher levels. I started on the riddles when this thread first started, and worked my way through the first lot, but then got stuck, and then busy, and I'm wondering whether I should bother trying to get past the point where I was stuck and solve the rest of the level once I have some time again, or if it's all just a waste of time...
