My feckin laptop sound doesnt work, the internal beep does, no conflicting thins, sound is on , turned up everthing. Without me having to open it up to check i havent melted the wires what can I do? any ideas?

im no computer expert, but im guessing your soundcard has blown.
or you've put it on mute by accident.

I have also tried plugging headset into sound out port and nowt from there!
