This is a read-only copy. The forum ran on iamcal.com from 2000 until its database was lost in 2016, and this topic was rebuilt from copies saved by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Some replies may be missing.

OK, luckily my eyes and hands were posted to Jeremy Paxman in a large box with an Enigma coding cog and he forwarded them to me. What a jolly good chap he is. So now I can get on with this weblog again.

Friends Reunited owners do it again. How come I never think of any of these things. GenesConnected doesnt have a very catchy name though.

People who work in boring offices sometimes have to be "a bit wacky". I pity them

YAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!! I'm going to hold you to that missy. ;)

It took me THREE edits to get the links to work at all, so poor is my html coding

The other edits just made the post slightly funnier.

I like to think that I honed it to perfection.

Dont worry Chay. I'm pretty sure Cal has done worse. Use your powers to show him up... go on! Then ban his account :)

chandler,

Learn HTML in 30 seconds. Here goes.

<a href="http://www.google.com/" title="Google">Google's home page</a> will produce Google's home page. Easy enough?

yes i knew that. i did get it right eventually. it was more of a typing error than not knowing the code. I forgot to put the second " in if you must know

matt: what does the title="google" bit do, cos i cant see why you need that.
Posted by beargod, 09:36, 13th March 2003:

Hover over the link dude
Posted by chandler, 10:19, 13th March 2003:

hardly a necessity though

true, but still a cool feature

Chay, the title="google" bit of the code makes the word "Google" appear when you place your mouse over the link and hold it there for a while.

Oh, I see this has already been established.
