ont he outside surface there are 132 holes, but all holes (including internal ones) there are close to 350 (actually 347)

We cut cut up the crumpet and the more we cut the smaller the crumpet the less holes there are, or we could shoot the crumpet with a cannon and there would be just one hole where the crumpet was

Don't you understand that each hole is made up of several smaller adjoining holes and you need special goggles to see the individual holes otherwise your calculations are just utter crap?

To measure them accurately you have to find out how big the smallest hole is first.
