Title: Rules Of Attraction
Rating: 3/5
I thought that this movie was very entertaining but don't really have any desire to see it again. If that makes sense?
**SPOILERS**
I found some of it almost unwatchable due to it's extreme uncomfortable nature and if I'm in the right mood that is always a worthwhile cinema experience.
The rape at the beginning was horrific and made me feel a little sick. I also thought it was slightly unrealistic as people were bumbling in and out the room and nobody stopped it? I could be a bit naive but if i'd rolled a keg into a room at a party and discovered that I would have knocked both the guys teeth in. Serves to highlight the jaded, emotionally stunted attitudes of the generation involved but also took it a step to far IMO.
The suicide was excellent (!?!?). I felt it was portrayed as the only 'real' feeling in the context of the film and yet it to was as unreal as all the other emotions on display. Who's going to notice one more fuck up amoungst that lot?
Don't think I'll ever hear 'Faith' again without pissing myself laughing. Awesome scene.
Nice one and 3.5/5.

i would have given it 4.5 out of 5. class cinema, with great characters and some excellent scenes
but faith was by far the best
Yeah direction wise it was a class act and did have some stunning scenes but I think the whole was no greater than the sum of it's parts. (at least someone who wrote a review thought this and I agree :) )
