People taking their time to waken up i suppose.

beargod, 11:57, 10th April 2003:

RUSS, 11:57, 10th April 2003:
i will watch it, what channel is it on? bbc or seteanta or something
But its Celtic, so it wont be slow.
Posted by
beargod, 11:59, 10th April 2003:
True but most likely the other team will slow it down, now sunday league footy that is good
Posted by
RUSS, 12:01, 10th April 2003:
i have just looked in the paper and it appears to be on bbc2 down here, why is it on so early?
Posted by
chandler, 12:02, 10th April 2003:
sport sucks dude.
I hate it all.
:D
I usd to play squash but not very well
Watching sport is boring :)
but other people seem to like it so thats ok for them
Its on early to try and stop the fans going to the pub and getting pished before the game, but everyone just takes a half day and then gets pished..its like the old firm matches, they start at 12..but everyone just starts drinking earlier.
fair enought Chay, each to their own. So, what do you do for fun?
But watching sport is a good excuse for getting shitfaced!
Posted by
chandler, 12:04, 10th April 2003:
movies and music mainly
and talking to emma. but you knew that.
Chay: What music are you into then?
Posted by
beargod, 12:07, 10th April 2003:
Chay sits in his room thinking about the good times he could be having if he had friends
Movies and music...both of which are indoor activities, do you venture outside much? :)

chandler, 12:10, 10th April 2003:
Independent movies and musically anything from Garbage to Lemon Jelly to New Orleans Jazz to Ells.
Are none of them footie fans?
Arsepuppy, i totally agree, its a great excuse (as if we need one) for getting hammered!
Posted by
chandler, 12:12, 10th April 2003:
i dont think they watch it no.
Posted by
RUSS, 12:13, 10th April 2003:
i like to have a drink when watching a game but not get hammered, cause i cant then remember what happened in the game which really pisses me off when people talk about it
Chay: What is your opinion on the popular film "Turner and Hooch"?
Do you like non-independent films?
I think I may have to do something to lure Chay away from the evil that is Lemon Jelly's awful coffee-table muzak.
Posted by
beargod, 12:18, 10th April 2003:
I prefer films that are good
Posted by
chandler, 12:18, 10th April 2003:
haha Turner and Hooch oh thats a classic :D
Yeah i do watch other films too. I like things like Fear and Loathing, Minority Report, lots of things really.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Posted by
chandler, 12:22, 10th April 2003:
its about an east german transexual who has a (botched) sex change opperation so s/he can marry an American GI and escape. and then a few days later the wall comes down,
s/he forms a band and tours around.
Its a musical. think rocky horror more than the sound of music. :D
The "Angry Inch" is what remains of his/her former manhood

Grim..., 09:24, 11th April 2003:
Lemon Jelly are great!
"All the ducks are swimming in the water! La-de-da da dal-row! La-de-da da dal-row!"
That song to me sums up everything that's wrong with them. i can't think of any tune I despise more. Sorry.
Posted by
beargod, 09:30, 11th April 2003:
Sorry, bum dog I think they are one of the best dance outfits around at the moment, there are some brilliant tunes on the album and EP's
I have no idea who Lemon Jelly are, never heard any of there tunes.
What style of music is it?
Well since I generally don't like "dance music", them being one the best at the moments means shit to me I'm afraid....
Crappy background musak for adverts and "items" on the Richard and Judy show. Utter shite.
FL: They make soulless background music which wouldn't sound out of place on a margarine advert.
Posted by
chandler, 09:46, 11th April 2003:
The video for Nice Weather For Ducks is great. its all a bit of fun. I wouldnt dance to it but its nice to have it on in the car
Posted by
chandler, 09:49, 11th April 2003:
uh the music not the video btw i dont watch videos int he car
It's all a bit twee though isn't it?
Posted by
chandler, 09:58, 11th April 2003:
yep! :D nothing wrong with a bit of twee. or even bland. depends what mood you are in. Sometimes im in the mood for something that can just sit in the background. something relaxing that isnt full on.
I agree, but I wouldn't put on any L*m*n J*lly. They just irk me.
Posted by
chandler, 10:05, 11th April 2003:
oh well, each to their own. :D
Not a big fan of dance music anymore, but i do like a bit of chilled tunes on a Sunday while i am reading the papers.
Posted by
beargod, 10:10, 11th April 2003:
I never have liked dance music, not really, I like mellow tunes and this is the sort of stuff i like
What music are you into then BG? As in particular groups/bands/etc.??
Same question to everyone else, I've got the whole curiousity bug going on now.
At the moment i have 4 MD's in my bag.
1) Elephant - White Stripes
2) Audioslave - Audioslave
3) BRMC - BRMC
4) Big Calm - Morcheeba
CD's on my desk at the moment:
Prince - Controversy
Prince - The Rainbow Children (or "The Jazz Wank Album")
Smiths - "Singles"
Pixies - Surfer Rosa
Happy Mondays - Greatest Hits
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - EP
Velvet Underground - Loaded
Bowie - Hunky Dory
Bowie - Ziggy Stardust..etc.
SFA - Rings around the world
Dunno why I have this lot today, they were just in my bag and that (not my ball bag)

I like a band called Halo at the moment, it has abit of all types of rock music, i can't fault them.
I am mainly into rock, but i do like a bit of anything as long as it has a tune, so not much from the singles charts lately.
So you're saying that there's no tune in Kym Marsh's delightful single?? Tut!
