Gas main ruptured by contractor at work. My fault as I forgot to pass on drawings. Two office blocks evacuated. Lawyers, insurance and a headache.
Not a great day. :(

Poor old you!
:(
where abouts In edinburger?
I felt like an arse all day long. Bunch of old crusty contractors being nice about the whole thing but obviously thinking I'm a total moron. Don't think the 6 vans (no exageration) of Transco engineers were too pleased either.
Ah well live and learn. I won't do it again.....i hope.
ah...damn! no where near my mates then.
I meant to add allegedly to all of the above.

I got a 'talking to' for my lateness today (again). I was quite proud of the line "Its just that when you're late it isnt your normal couple of minutes, in fact, it has a tendency to verge over the 3 hour mark"
Lateboy is in the building, I thankyou :)

please do :)
Let's see, we'll take monday as an example. I woke up at 9:30 having slept through my alarm. I shouldve started work at 8. So obviously I called up, told them I'd be late, then spent some time catching up on the mornings events on here. Then I left for work and got in at about 12ish. For a person who hates their job its not really a worrying thought.

what do you do for your job again sweetie? (this will catch on..)
hehe@sweetie
I forgot what time I was supposed to be at work (11.ooam instead of 1.00pm) so I just apologised profusely (because I love my job)
Going better today. Just have to work on trying to convince people that whilst it was a bad judgment call on my part I'm not a complete drooling moron.
Never mind at least I'm on a half day today :) . Getting broadband installed woooooo hoooooo!
