Posted by earthworm, 11:46, 18th April 2003:

That would drive me insane...

I'll post some pictures of Durham later and give you some false memories and brainwash you into thinking you weren't at work today, but had a nice walk around the river in Durham...
Posted by Sul, 11:48, 18th April 2003:

earthworm: Cheers but I may take a walk to the tate and take in the tut later.

FL: I'm pretty sure I can get some Irn-Bru yes. Why?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 11:49, 18th April 2003:

Ah-ha..its the best handover cure..get a can, down it, burp and you will be right as rain. Trust me.

earthworm, cheers..never been to Durham so it will a virtual tour.
Posted by earthworm, 11:50, 18th April 2003:

I've never been to the Tate... I want to one day!! We have the Baltic Four Mill and the Laing art galleries. Obvously not as good as the Tate though. Did you see BANKSY's graffiti on the stairs on the way up to the tate? I have seen photos. It looked pretty good! Shame about the graffiti bit though...
Posted by Sul, 11:54, 18th April 2003:

errr dont really do galleries. I just hang around the riverfront eyeing up the birds and generally being a perv. I may go inside one day.

Fl: Will try that, cheers
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 11:56, 18th April 2003:

Galleries and museums bore the tits off me...went to the Louvre once, spent nearly 4 hours walkign round it, and i was bored bored bored...staright to a pub after for a very expensive pint!

Sul, if you do let me know your thoughts on Irn-bru.
Posted by Sul, 12:04, 18th April 2003:

More into street art myself... Banksy is amazing...

www.banksy.co.uk

Once you get past all the flash bits, you can see the true genius that is banksy...
Once you get to the Helicopter and title "Weapons of mass disruption" click on the STENCILS icon (top of the list!)

Post your thoughts!

Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:46, 18th April 2003:

I especially enjoyed the 'art' on the police car.
Posted by earthworm, 12:49, 18th April 2003:

designated graffiti area...

hahaha

did you see the pedestrian crossing over the car?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:52, 18th April 2003:

Yeah, class!

Also, the policeman writing in his pad, with the outline of a dead body.
Posted by earthworm, 12:54, 18th April 2003:

yeah, there is some banksy style stuff appeared in Newcastle. I have yet to write and ask whether it was him or not!

Probably just copy cat stuff!

It's a plane dropping bombs. There are three bombs coming out and they are metamorphing into bunches of flowers...
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:55, 18th April 2003:

Where is all this 'art' then? London ?
Posted by earthworm, 13:20, 18th April 2003:

in Leeds or Bristol I think... Although he has done loads of stuff in America and other parts of the country... I think he did an american tour cause he did a photo thingy on his website, but he has redone the website since...

Sul, hows the hangover?
Posted by Sul, 14:33, 18th April 2003:

Its all over now. I didnt do the Irn-Bru thing, I went for the other option. Pint of Stella and Thames air.

I really like the Banksy stuff. Looked for the graffiti on the Tate stairs but couldnt find it, mustve been cleared off. I also recognised the 'Bankside' bridge but strangley it still says 'Bankside'.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 14:43, 18th April 2003:

That was my option for lunch, except i dont like Stella, lovely pint of Hoegarden for me.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 14:44, 18th April 2003:

Supposedly there is some Banksey graffiti in glasgow..never noticed it myself but i shall keep my eyes peeled for it.

Lazy, maybe. I found that I have been very productive. I got new tires on my car, new windshield and gave her a bath. Then I wrote letters to my friends, did my laundry, cleaned my apartment and did some shopping. So, I feel very productive vs lazy.
