I'll go rock because that cover the punk basis I suppose. Although its pretty much anything.
Posted by earthworm, 22:50, 22nd April 2003:

Shame there is a restriction on the amount of variables you can have... I'm not complaining though!!
Posted by Sul, 23:06, 22nd April 2003:

where would you place your gun-toting garage lovers? Saying that, does anyone know if Lisa Maffia is that birds real name because its pretty much asking for trouble. What was that rap artists name from a few years back? Little M.A.F.I.A, Small M.A.F.I.A, Mini M.A.F.I.A... something like that.

Posted by arsepuppy, 09:03, 23rd April 2003:

Dunno if can realy pick one. Don't do genres as such. Indie may be the closest I s'pose.

hahaha
Posted by arsepuppy, 14:02, 23rd April 2003:

I sincerely hope that "Country/Western" isn't some kind of sordid euphemism or code for something. :)
Posted by Victor Menendez, 14:08, 23rd April 2003:

I agree with whoever gary disagrees with.

almost always.

:)
Posted by jeff, 14:45, 23rd April 2003:

yeah, there should have been an 'opposite of what gary likes' box to tick :)
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:16, 23rd April 2003:

AP, just use your imagination mate. ;) hee hee

dance/rave and drum & bass? drum & bass is dance music...
too bad there isn't an "experimental electronica" choice, or IDM, or electro, or glitch, or anything else that i love... hmmm
Posted by earthworm, 19:22, 23rd April 2003:

bugger off everyone... my poll... my choices!!

Posted by bangabongo, 19:24, 23rd April 2003:

You tell em babes....
Mind you, crap 80s retro would have been my choice...!
Posted by Victor Menendez, 19:41, 23rd April 2003:

HALLA for crap 80s retro!
Posted by Redmaiden, 22:04, 23rd April 2003:

oh I love 80s!
drum and bass is so different from rave and dance sheesh
Posted by zxenor, 22:14, 23rd April 2003:

rave/dance and drum&bass are both mainstream electronica, played at clubs for people to dance to. in that regard, they are extremely similar. They both have defined beats/tempos. A lot of electronica follows none of these rules.

80s retro is also good ;)
Posted by t.m., 22:26, 23rd April 2003:

electroclash is the electronica for 2002/2003........ what new term/name will be here to replace it?
Posted by RedAndWhiteMan, 23:26, 23rd April 2003:

RedAndWhiteMan says: i like the smooth grooves of the seventies. nice.
Posted by Redmaiden, 23:29, 23rd April 2003:

nooo electronica is sooooo different

RedAndWhiteMan, yeh baby (well not my choice but yeh baby)
Posted by Sul, 23:32, 23rd April 2003:

Electroclash? Like "I fought the law and the law won but then DJ Tiesto remixed me and we're all doing speed now"?
Posted by t.m., 23:54, 23rd April 2003:

But is it? electroclash has many of the same sounds and 'feel' just wrapped in a different blanket?
Case in point - Death In Vegas "Hands around my throat"
Posted by chandler, 00:43, 24th April 2003:

hey t.m. you are an Aussie! You have The Waifs. why would you ever listen to anything else? they rule!
Posted by t.m., 01:37, 24th April 2003:

yeah , but frankly they are to 'hippie-girly-folk' for my liking. We do have some good bands and artists , but you guys generally only get to see our worst - 'the vines' sucess highlights this! The Vines can suck my dang.
Posted by arsepuppy, 08:27, 24th April 2003:

"'hippie-girly-folk'"

This phrase is a microcosm of Chay's entire existence ;)
Posted by arsepuppy, 08:27, 24th April 2003:

The Vines are shit, yes.
Posted by chandler, 08:32, 24th April 2003:

ap: :) so true
I like garbage though, they dont fit in that catagory. but yes my whole life is hippie-girly-folk.
Posted by beargod, 08:33, 24th April 2003:

Hey if the Vines are so shit why did you make me buy them, beffore i knew you?
Posted by chandler, 08:36, 24th April 2003:

i work with Aussies and i'm getting quite worried that i'm developing a hint of an austrailian accent.
Posted by arsepuppy, 08:42, 24th April 2003:

I developed a Bristol accent a few years back after working there a few months installing satellite dishes. Thankfully it's gone now. But when I used to teach archery people used to go to me and say "Which part of Australia are you from?". I have a wierd voice.
Posted by chandler, 08:55, 24th April 2003:

haha.

so which part of austrailia are you from? ;)
Posted by arsepuppy, 08:56, 24th April 2003:

Old North Wales.
Posted by chandler, 08:58, 24th April 2003:

Posted by t.m., 22:50, 24th April 2003:

When i was in NYC people thought my accent was english............ 'oh is that what australians sound like?'. The crocodile hunter has bought much shame to the australian people.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 23:13, 24th April 2003:

what, steve irwin or crocodile dundee?
Posted by t.m., 03:34, 25th April 2003:

either or. Do not get me wrong....... I am a proud aussie , but soemtimes our ambassadors do more harm than good. Kylie = Good. Steve Irwin = Bad
