we are getting some mates to organise a house party for the saturday night. some good drinking and lethal punch on offer i hope! :D
a lethal punch?
like a fist of fury?
like ryu's dragon punch?
like the way of the drunken master?
etc.
I thought you didn't drink?

beargod, 16:54, 24th April 2003:
Albert Bridge? that is the albert road one i presume that has a few cool places that I never went too

chandler, 16:57, 24th April 2003:

I always thought it was "Ryu-Ken"
Posted by
Sul, 16:59, 24th April 2003:
I dont drink very often either chay. Sometimes we're so alike
Posted by
beargod, 17:01, 24th April 2003:
It is Ryu-ken, but another one is Ha-roo-ken if i remember correctly
Why would they say "Ryu-ken"? It makes no sense! They're fighters, not lovers!
Whereas Harooken and the other one "Harrrrrr-yoooo-ken!" (dragon punch) are real words. Maybe.

chandler, 17:15, 24th April 2003:
Sul: :D
beargod: I havent a clue what you are talking about
ap: ditto
Posted by
beargod, 17:21, 24th April 2003:
Chay we are talking about streetfighter, Ryu-ken was the fireball, in the original streetfighter 2 theytold you what they all said in the book and there was definatly a Ryu-ken in the somewhere, it might have been ha-ryu-ken
Posted by
chandler, 17:26, 24th April 2003:
oh right ok
It was Ha-roo-ken! not Ryu-Ken! Because THAT WOULD MAKE NO SENSE!!!!!
The dragon punch was Harrrr-ryo-ken (sp?)!!!!
Let me clarify.
Why would Ryu, when using said move, say his name, and then Ken's, and vice versa???
Answer: He Wouldn't. It was Ha-roo-ken. Played the fucking thing long enough to know this. In fact, when I get home, i'll switch on my GBA to double check. Which I'll do now.

It was ryu-ken. I remember reading it in a sticker album or something

you all suck

Sul, 17:36, 24th April 2003:
point?
Albert Bridge is a 'naughty ladies' part of Middlesbrough!! But there are some great pubs around there. I lived there until I was 18 so a bit out of touch now, being a tad older...

beargod, 18:36, 24th April 2003:
Oh you mean the train station sluts right
Nope definatly Ryu-ken was somewhere in it, I definatly read it somewhere in the manual
Posted by
beargod, 18:50, 24th April 2003:
I also remember reading somewhere that they changed what ken said, so it didn't include Ryu in the Alpha versions, but i can't remember what was written about what Ryu said
I have Street Fighter X3...
i thought ryu and ken were brothers and it was "you cannot defeat my dragon punch Ryuuuu-Ken!"
Posted by
beargod, 20:54, 24th April 2003:
They both trained under the same master and are therefore kind of brothers, but the thing that shows that they are not brothers is the fact that Ryu comes from Japan and Ken comes from America
do you think this conversation makes us in any way geeky?
Posted by
beargod, 21:03, 24th April 2003:
No, what would make you say that, and damn I am Geeky, I apologise for Geekiness, to all non geeks, although thinking about it everyone is geeky in one way or another, I think my grammer needs improving
I have got street fighter 1 and 2. Truely MANGA classics!!
Does anyone else collect manga?
Posted by
beargod, 21:20, 24th April 2003:
Are you talking about films Al?
Cos if you have streetfighter I will be up ther in a flash, I mean It only ever came out on arcade machines, and you could only be Ryu or Ken, and they only had punch and kick as fighting moves
I have both films on DVD (original Animated versions) and I have Street Fighter X3 (PS2)
What were you looking for?
Posted by
beargod, 21:32, 24th April 2003:
streetfighter the game, that would be cool to own
You could buy one of the original aracade machines...
Posted by
beargod, 21:38, 24th April 2003:
I don't think so mate, they are a collecters Item, they will be selling for more then I have which isn't much
hmm.. just looking at the prices of machines like it... I agree with you... not that I know how much you earn but I certainly couldn't afford one... (boo!) Although a coupleof those orginal 1960's Jukeboxes look good!! Look good in our front room!

beargod, 21:42, 24th April 2003:
There are these circuit board that you can buy in china which are circuit boards from old arcade machines, they go quite cheap, but I can't remember what or how you huck them up, plus I doubt there would be a streetfighter one

It all started when we helped (were made to) the British/Allied forces and land at Gallipoli in WW1......... was a big fubar type plan as many many people died.
