Posted by Sul, 13:21, 19th May 2003:

I like London by the way. I cant see why people dont like it. Someone who doesnt like it name a reason.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 13:22, 19th May 2003:

Reason: Its full of people who have no manners. (present company not included)
Posted by donnie, 13:30, 19th May 2003:

nope, that's the world, try again!
Posted by donnie, 13:31, 19th May 2003:

"no manners"

Like what, eating with their fingers and shit?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 13:32, 19th May 2003:

Donnie, that is certainly not the world. I have lived in London and that is my opinion of the place. Even glasgow is more friendly than that.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 13:32, 19th May 2003:

Sul, no..just the basic please and thanks.

"Someone who doesn't like it name a reason."

I lived in London for four years and I can think of a few.

1. Bar Prices
2. Tube System - the reliability of it and people that try to get on a train before you get off it, does my head right in
3. People - not that friendly a place, people tend to stick in their own groups.
4. Taxi's - taxi drivers that constantly argue about the fare before you get in, rather than just telling you the freaking cost.
5. Working hours - you are simply expected to work longer in London
6. Far too many fecking tourists.
7. Travel Time - takes an age to go a small distance regardless of whether you get a train, bus, tube or drive. It takes 45 minutes on a train from Glasgow to Edinburgh (50 miles) and the same time to go from North London to Liverpool Street (7 miles).
8. Bar Prices
9. Bar Prices
10. Bar Prices

Go on Kev!
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 14:20, 19th May 2003:

oh, and what about the prices of lager?
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:13, 19th May 2003:

What about that REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING thing that Londoners do when they harp on about how amazing London is to every non-Londoner (especially when not in London), and go on about how they'd never leave is they didn't have to (some deny this).

Here's a thought to you lot.... If London is so great. FUCKING STAY THERE!!!

I also hate it when Londoners get really bitchy when people criticise the place.

"Well, it's too good for you."

"London doesn't *need* you either."

"You're not good enough for London"

Knobs.

Nowhere else in the world needs a fucking Ghost Pigeon to solve its problems.
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:15, 19th May 2003:

(I like London as a place though. Just a shame about the Dickhead:Non-Dickhead ratio)
Posted by cal, 15:38, 19th May 2003:

i like london, but i wouldn't want to live there
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:42, 19th May 2003:

If there was a SARS-like illness that wiped out the Nathan Barley-type Hoxton/Shoreditch twats, London would be a better place.
Posted by cal, 15:47, 19th May 2003:

cunt!
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:48, 19th May 2003:

He sure is.
Posted by jeffld, 16:31, 19th May 2003:

oooOOO the C word again.

fyi: I heard that it stands for Can't Understand Normal Thinking.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 16:32, 19th May 2003:

I won't tell you what i heard FYI stands for then.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 16:43, 19th May 2003:

Cal, what have you been told already..try not to use the C word.
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:49, 19th May 2003:

But it was a TvGoHome reference. Context and shit meant that that was ok.
Posted by cal, 16:54, 19th May 2003:

"cunt" is the program from tv go home that's presented by nathan barley
Posted by Sul, 16:55, 19th May 2003:

Why? Is it not ok at other times. Noone told me.
Posted by Sul, 16:58, 19th May 2003:

There a few important things you need to know:

Anyone can join in - anyone at all.

Most of the people who post messages have never met each other.

Discussion is split into different "forums", such as Chit Chat and Movies.

Weblog is a special forum, that only Cal can create new topics in.

The topics in the "Weblog" forum make up the weblog on the homepage.

Don't provoke Gary.

Nothing about "cunt" in there

Do people actually get offended by it?
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:59, 19th May 2003:

Cunt cunt Cuntycunt.
Posted by Sul, 17:00, 19th May 2003:

And yet, I seem unaffected by these apparently harsh words.
Posted by Rosie, 17:01, 19th May 2003:

I used to get offended by it - but now I don't give a shit. We all use slang words for the penis - so why not for a womans "private parts"??!!
Posted by Sul, 17:02, 19th May 2003:

Here here. Cunt, Twat, Gash, Monkey etc
Posted by cal, 17:10, 19th May 2003:

Posted by Sul, 17:11, 19th May 2003:
