I am trying to connect a PHP script to an Oracle database. What is the best way to do this?
Do I need to recompile my installation of PHP??
I tried to use a function called ocilogon() but it says it's undefined!
Anyone?

dl("php_oci8"); or dl("php_oracle"); depending on which library you want to use

there should be php_oci8.dll and php_oracle.dll files in your php/extensions/ folder

oh, and if you're using IIS not apache, then you'll need to edit php.ini instead. remove the semi colon from this line: ";extension=php_oci8.dll"
(and then restart IIS)

I can't find those files you pointed out further up the thread... Can I install them seperatly or would I have to reinstall everything again!?

just download the php zip:
uk.php.net/get/php-4.3.1-Win32.zip/from/...
then extract the relevant files from it
