I thought all WWF was staged and planned? If I'm right and this was the case, then how can there be a 'winner'?
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:29, 22nd May 2003:

Sumo guy was Yokozuna - dead from spider-induced heart attack (FACT!)

Bulldog's also another dead 'un - Overdose/possible murder (unresolved)
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:30, 22nd May 2003:

It's as fake as it gets. What do you mean by "winner"?
Posted by Greeny, 15:31, 22nd May 2003:

Well, reading your link about Ultimate Warrior, it says he defeated Hulk Hogan...How can this be if it's all staged... I mean, there's no real winner is there...Surely it's whoever they decide to be the 'winner'?
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:35, 22nd May 2003:

Yes. Winners are determined to advance storylines, a plot device if you will. Like Neighbours. The "win/loss" thing isn't a factor outside the realms of kayfabe.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 15:36, 22nd May 2003:

Big Daddy would kick all their arses.
Posted by Greeny, 15:36, 22nd May 2003:

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here, but what's kayfabe'?
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:43, 22nd May 2003:

It's an old carnival term, hard to explain really. It means the process of decieving the crowd, but can also describe the code of preserving the fakeness as if real, i.e. when Randy Savage used to appear on Going Live, he used to do interviews in character, thus "preserving kayfabe". For him to say "Nah, it's fake, none of it hurts", would be 'Breaking kayfabe'.

Or something.
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:45, 22nd May 2003:

Never good at explaining words, me.
Posted by ilovebeerme, 15:52, 22nd May 2003:

explain paradox.
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:56, 22nd May 2003:

There's a joke in there somewhere. Can't be bothered though.
Posted by Greeny, 16:30, 22nd May 2003:

Nah, me neither... I've been sat trying to think of one for 20 mins now... (had a couple of pints at lunchtime as it's my last day here)
Posted by Grim..., 17:34, 22nd May 2003:

Where is 'here'?
And where are you going?
Posted by Greeny, 17:55, 22nd May 2003:

Here is Frontier Internet Services Ltd, a small but very good ISP... I'm going to a new comapny called Algebra Ltd, they kit offices out and do copiers, faxes, printers and phone systems and all that jazz...
