Ok, I have a question. Anyone know what sort of figure i would be looking at if i wanted to spend 6 months going round the world. Ideally not working anywhere on the way. and visiting all the cool places.
how much is that likely to cost? including travel and living costs. Any ideas anyone?
Just trying to work out how much me and emma would have to save up.
Totally depends mate. Some of my friends did 10 months and took about £9k but they are posh and did parachutes and boat trips and all that stuff. Another mate is doing it right now based on $10 a day and getting on fine.
Find out where you are going and the typical local prices there and plan that way. Stay in sleazy hostels with hookers in them for not much or decent places for a bit more. Take a tent and save cash sleeping outside.

yeah, i need to think bout that stuff. would be nice to do a bit of the posh stuff in some places but backpack other bits of it.
cheers.
i was thinking after i finish my degree next year i might take 6 months off to explore this little globe of ours. (with emma of course)
China, Canada and Cuba and Austrailia are all on the list
but id like to visit loads of others too.

I would not tent it - means carrying a tent the while trip, which can be fucking annoying. stay at hostels
I'm tenting it right now....

I am very sorry if the Austrailians that I have worked with for the last eight months always refer to Brisbane as Brizzy. It is like we work in Stony Stratford but we call it "Stony". My humble appologies, i did not realise that using the full words for everything was a requirement of posting here.
I have made sure not to abbrieviate any other words in this post for fear of damaging your delecate sensibilities.
edited - to change "8" to "eight" in case the short version confuses you
(TWATS)
I just hate the words "Lil" and "Loadsa", that's all.
HATE HATE HATE.
They make me turn into this guy:

goldy! heehee
there isnt anything wrong with calling it Brizzy is there t.m.?
ive been using lil and loadsa cos ive been texting emma and it saves space, and it just kinda (!) flows onto here.
Surely "ickle" is better than "lil" ??

Brizzy , Brisvegas , B-Town it is all as bad as each other . Australins abbreviate EVERYTHING.
Chandler = Chando
Bottle Shop = Bottlo
Service Station = Servo
We are pretty wrong.
