Does anyone else see through The Matrix? I don't think that the creator's of The Matrix set out to be misleading, instead I think they set out to be really deep. The problem lies in their method of attempting to produce a deep film.
What they did is throw dozens and dozens of philosophies, religions, film genres, various forms of entertainment mediums, etc. into a ridiculously convoluted 35mm salad bowl.
You can take a scene or one of the myriad story lines and understand its meaning, but when you try and make it fit into the film's overall meaning, you get nothing but speculation. The film's meaning is comparable to 1000 people deciding what animal or thing a cloud resembles.
It's fun to watch, but it doesn't hold a candle to the many coherent and meaningful narrative films that have already been done.
Hollywood is making a buck off the public's desire to make sense out of puzzle that cannot be solved because it's just a random pile of interesting, yet unrelated thoughts.

To the second Juan,
"You are" isn't spelled "your." Instead of critiquing others' comments, learn how to spell.
Juan.

I guess you never accidentally hit the wrong key on the keyboard or accidentally misspell a werd. It must be nice to be so perfect.

You must be a really great comedian yourself, Juan. It looks to me like you spend your time responding to replies on a website that only people like you spend time reading. You sound like a real winner.

Juan.

I'm sure this could have gone in the Matrix topic, but nevermind.. yes, I agree; Reloaded tries to be profound by shoving amature "deep" philosophy down your throat, while Cornel Sanders and the Wachowski Brothers sneer down their noses at us.
Wow, even the
website is trying to be deep now.
