My daugther is 21 and I have had her on the depo shot since she was 16. She is ADHD and I didn't want her to accidently get into trouble with some boy and get pregnant. A nurse recently told her that if she doesn't change her type of birth control soon that she will become sterile and never be able to have any kids. Is this true? I was never told this or I would never have put her on the shot.

WTF?

where are all these people coming from? How the hell would we know about anything medical?
I asked for a bit of medical advice once on how to cure cold sores and plindoe told me to put purfume on it.......the result was the most indescribable pain I've ever felt.

Okay, bigmama. What the bloody hell do you think you're doing. You have just told me the following things;

1. Your daughter is how old? 21?
2. She's got ADHD.
3. She's on the 'depo shot'.

Now, I know there's a lot of people going on these boards trying to destroy the illusion of 'society' that's been created, but listen up you mentalist. Your daughter is 21. Surely old enoough to make decisions about her contraception herself. She has ADHD? Are you giving her bloody ritalin? Like, stop being such a fool.

Sorry, that wasn't the most coherent of remarks. But man, come on. Be creative, for goodness sake.

Actually no, that was quite creative. Just strange.

Dear Cal. I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I took the girl of my dreams out for dinner the other night. She came round my place, I cooked a dinner, and we ate it by candlelight. We were just enjoying coffee, cheese and biscuits when my cat came into the room, accidentally catching itself on fire on one of the candles. Distressed to see the burning cat, I threw some water on it to put out the flames. Unforturnately, what I had clenched in my hand was not water, but the brandy decanter. My cat burst into a fireball, and leapt onto my prospective lover, burning her quite severely.

I'm now really embarrased. How long should I leave it before I call her?

Yours,

Dr. U. J. Lucid, BA (Hons)
