What do you think is faster cable or dsl?
Posted by chandler, 13:31, 5th July 2003:

Who do you think is a faster Ally McBeal or Victoria Beckham?
Posted by jeff, 16:46, 5th July 2003:

ally mcbeal is lighter so she's more aerodynamic but if we're talking about waterslides i'd go with victoria, that little extra weight would propel her further... or something..

lol this has nothing to do with my question
Posted by gobbo, 08:36, 6th July 2003:

cable depends really on what speed modem/service you decide to get, better ask Beargod about dsl i think he has it (i was round his house the other day and the modem for it is very tiny :D)
Posted by beargod, 10:17, 6th July 2003:

with DSL you can get faster speeds then with cable, and what it is set at, but this will change with the more users who use dsl.

Cable is cheeper though for the speed, so i recomend that, then again if you are not English I don't know how it changes, not even in the rest of the british isles. Although i think Scotland and Wales are similar

jess. i didnt ask who was faster, but "Who do you think is A faster" meaning which one starves themselves of food to which the answer is "both" :)
Posted by coolcat88, 15:34, 6th July 2003:

it has a lot to do with the computer... we have really fast dsl, but my comp has almost no ram and no memeory and all that crap left, so things run really slowly.

OOOO look at every1 being all interlectual. wish i was that clever :(
Posted by gobbo, 22:24, 6th July 2003:

yes well miracles do happen, never know :D
Posted by jeffld, 23:35, 6th July 2003:

See DLSreports.com

It is just the opposite, cable gets slower with more users.

Oh, savage. There I was thinking that this topic was going to be about staying up all night with chemical assistance. Darn.
Posted by beargod, 08:54, 7th July 2003:

I meant it gets slower because originally when BT started ADSL they did not keep to the maximum bandwidth, but as more people join it, the more they reduce the max to what its supposed to be
Posted by Victor Menendez, 15:13, 8th July 2003:

Although i did hear that if your transfer rate drops below 50 K/Bps then BOOOM!
Posted by chandler, 15:43, 8th July 2003:

lol
Posted by beargod, 16:22, 8th July 2003:

What happens if they rip out the speed dial, how would you know?
Posted by Victor Menendez, 16:26, 8th July 2003:

If you were making a bomb, why would you leave a red wire and a blue wire hanging out?
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:28, 8th July 2003:

I dunno, why would you leave a red wire and a blue wire hanging out???
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:28, 8th July 2003:

this is meant to be a joke, right?
Posted by Victor Menendez, 16:30, 8th July 2003:

can do, i'll try to think of a punchline
Posted by beargod, 16:31, 8th July 2003:

if you weren't making a bomb you can't leave the red and blue wire hanging out
Posted by Victor Menendez, 16:32, 8th July 2003:

no, can't think of anything. lets make it a competition. in the meantime, i'm off home. see you all in half an hour
Posted by beargod, 16:33, 8th July 2003:

bye vic and what is wrong with my punchline :)
Posted by chandler, 16:33, 8th July 2003:

id make all wires the same colour, make sure that cutting any wire triggers the bomb and not put any kind of clock on it.
Posted by beargod, 16:40, 8th July 2003:

what about if you want to disarm the bomb because you armed it in your house and you did not put any disarming thing on the bomb?
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:46, 8th July 2003:

Did someone say "Disarm"??
Posted by beargod, 16:47, 8th July 2003:

might have why?
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:48, 8th July 2003:

Well pour some sugar on me, you animal.
Posted by chandler, 16:48, 8th July 2003:

beargod, i wouldnt arm it till i got to the place i wanted to blow up
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:49, 8th July 2003:

That's what happens when love and hate collide(s).
Posted by arsepuppy, 16:52, 8th July 2003:

Dammit, I've run out of Def Leppard song titles.
Posted by beargod, 16:55, 8th July 2003:

chay your kiddy might arm it whilst playing with it, there might be nothing to stop them
Posted by chandler, 16:59, 8th July 2003:

maybe the bomb will be strapped to the kiddie.
Posted by beargod, 17:01, 8th July 2003:

maybe the bomb will just suddenly blow up and you then realise that you should have coloured the wires
Posted by Victor Menendez, 17:02, 8th July 2003:

Oh look, its been half an hour :)
Posted by Rosie, 17:04, 8th July 2003:

Posted by chandler, 10:05, 9th July 2003:

and thus has not been given access to the same level of education and good breeding that is available to the rest of the Empire :)
Posted by beargod, 10:08, 9th July 2003:

its no longer the empire, they shoved our tea into the sea and then we got pissed off, and after a long time of fighting to try and make them say sorry they were too annoying so we left them too it :)
Posted by chandler, 10:12, 9th July 2003:

thats why i said former colonies
Posted by Victor Menendez, 10:19, 9th July 2003:

Nonsense, we could have taken them any time, but why should we want to continue a war with our own relatives (at the time) it turned out to be far more amusing to watch them try to run their own country. this continues to the present day. Giggle as they prove they can't even hold a decent election. Smirk as they piss away the huge amount of world-wide post september 11th goodwill by continually going to war with countries that can't possibly defend themselves. Chortle at Justin Timberlake. Etc.
Posted by beargod, 10:23, 9th July 2003:

that is true vic, It just annoyed me that they inventer salty tea and did not drink it, what a waste
Posted by Victor Menendez, 10:29, 9th July 2003:

Posted by chandler, 10:57, 9th July 2003:
