"the new band (formed from another French group, called Touré Kunda), was called
Kaoma, and it made 'Lambada' the number one hit worldwide. (5 million singles of the No.1 hit were bought, and it was the best selling single ever for CBS's European business.)
The lambada craze lasted only a few months from the second half of 1989, following the no.1 hit 'Lambada,' to the summer of 1990."

I just want to make clear that The lambada was plagiarized by Kaoma (a brasilian group). The real name of the song is "Llorando se fue" ("Crying, she was gone") and it belongs to "Kjarkas", a bolivian musical group, very popular in South America and Europe (and in Japan too). The won a well-known international trial agaisnt a French Company, producer of Kaoma, which had sold millions of copies with this succesfull theme. The music was composed by Ulises Hermosa and the rythm is the SAYA.
Hang on a second, i'll just grab my spanish guitar.
I want Kaoma's Bantu as a ringtone. Can anyone help me? I'll be grateful even for the musical notes.
Call me old-fashioned, but isn't the Lambada something to do with mathematics?

You are old-fashioned Abe

It senses oxygen content in exhausts, doesn't it?
You're thinking of Lambda, 11th letter of the greek alphabet.
Used in mathematics and nuclear physics.
According to Dictionary.com, Lambada is:
"A Brazilian ballroom dance in which the partners press against each other tightly and gyrate sensually."
