I'm doing a project at work which involves buttons which, when you roll over them, they change colour, and a display changes in a box to the side. A good example of this is the "Competitors" section of the Red Bull Flugtag site...... (http://www.redbullflugtag.co.uk/flash.html)
The problem I get is that if I drag the mouse over the "display box" (in the red bull case, the numbered placard that the cow thing holds), it treats it as another "half" of the button, and flicks between shit.
Fuck it, I can't explain this too well... If anyone knows their ActionScript, I'll point them to a copy of this project which i'll put online. Hopefully someone can help....

I don't think you thanked me for not helping AP, I find that disgustingly rude, and what about vic?
And why is this in the introductions area anyway?

Not a problem AP. did you go for the text box in the end?
Beargod - I assume so anybody who happened upon this thread couldve helped, approved or not.
Pah, beargod's right, i want thanks for my complete lack of input.
Well in that case, so do I.
Yeah, I made a text box movie with 12 frames, each with a stop(); command. When you roll over the button, I had a "on (rollOver)" function which took you to the frame where the right caption was. I also put a "on (rollOut)" which pointed to frame 1 in the movie (a blank frame) to clear it. I vectorised each frame as well, so I didn't have to embed any fonts.
Piece of piss really, considering I was playing with "tellTarget" etc. before with no luck.
And thanks for nothing, BG and Vicky ;)
THANKS FOR NOTHING, EVERYBODY. (except Sul)
:)

Its alright, thanks for considering us :)
AP, you ever heard a band called Kings of Leon?
In fact, has anyone heard them? If so, are they any good?

beargod, 12:36, 30th July 2003:
I think I have heard of them, not heard them, and I cannot remember anything about them
Why?
Im going to buy the album at lunchtime, just looking for someone that has heard it..might save me buying a shit album.

he he he, bug the album, to annoy the album :)
damn! Thought I had edited that in time..
Foggy: They're good. My mate saw them live recently (I was meant to go too but missed it), apparently they were good then as well. Don't listen to that "Best album since... blah blah blah" bollocks that those NME dickheads keep on about though. Shit name for a band though.
I dont read NME, it pish. I have stared reading 'Bang' , which, so far has been right on the button.
Ok, I shall purchase it. Any suggestions for good tunes AP, Mrs Foggie has run off to Reading with all the CD's :(
Bang's ok. NME is shitshitshit (hate it with a passion). I also read X-Ray and Word (Doesn't cover much new stuff but is an excellent read, if a bit middle-aged at times)
Has she also taken your colour TV?
Not at all Vic, I have the TV and stereo (for MD's)
New suggestions eh? Dunno, at the moment I've been listening to mainly a bit of Northern Soul, Love (The band, not the popular emotion), The Seeds, The Slits and Serge Gainsbourg.
As for new stuff, I'll probably buy the new SFA one next (used to be a massive fan of theirs), the Caesars one, and the Coral one.
Also, keep an eye on "Pink Grease". I saw 'em live a while back and they were pretty cool.
Right then, of to buy some tunes. I shall let you know my choices when i return. Probably accompanied with a meatball 6 inch Sub.
The British Sea Power album's good, too.
how about your CD collection of bob marley?
All Bob CD's are in Reading...And I bought, Kings of Leon and The Darkness.
And I know nothing about a bag'o sensi..wasnae me! *holds hands up*
