I love smoothies. They're great.

What exactly are smoothies?
Posted by chandler, 14:55, 19th August 2003:

is it like squished fruit or something.

also used in the expression "oooh you old smoothie"

you know lots of fruit blended up and then you drink it. Sometimes you can put yogurt, honey, cinnamon etc in them too. They are tasty good and make it very simple to eat lots of fruit. Having an orange, mango and bananananananananana one right now.

I thought they were milkshakes or something, but it sounds like a milkshake with no milk

near my work, i have the 'mango lush'.
the lovely coffee dude has allowed me to instead of having one free coffee after buying 7, have one free mango lush. (more than double the price).

it's an ice blended drink, with mango, banana, strawberries and orange juice.

i absolutely love it.

Pretty expensive, no?

But I guess if you're valuing it by how many fruits are in them.

Ohhh, on a slightly divergent note, my friend Rosanne is only eating yellow food for a week. Can you recommend any yellow things to diversify her diet?

So far;

- bananas
- lemons
- turmeric
- lemon jelly
- lemon curd
- cheese
- butter
- yellow angel delight
- sweet corn
- grapefruit

We went to the supermarket and bought only yellow.

Whats the name of that yellow fruit that when you cut in a cross section, it is a star shape?

Also you could add half teaspoon of tumeric to a pot of rice and get yellow rice.

And buy some yellow food colouring?

:-)

Just bought some "Innocent" smoothies to try.

According to my housemate, Argos (in Brum, anyway) are having a half-price sale thing right now on blenders and various kitchen things.. if you want your own smoothie maker, now's the time.

For BG again.

Yesterday she ate crabsticks dipped in Turmeric. I think that's cheating. Although anyone who goes to the effort to coat her food in Turmeric has to be quite serious about her yellow diet.

Man, this place so dead on weekends!

I went into town today, and I bought a load of bananas for a pound, plus a big bottle of Tesco Own Brand Scotch Whisky, plus a packet of cheap cigars, plus That's Life magazine. And so I feel like I've fulfilled my shopping duties. And then came home and realised we need bread and butter and beer and coleslaw and all those other essentials.

And then I went out to the White Hart Tap and spent my remaining £10 on a round of London Pride. So now I'm broke and I forgot to buy the essentials of food. I'm such a bloody fool.

Not to mention the fact that the big music festival we're organising kicks off in 5 days time or so and I haven't sorted out so many things, not to mention rehearsing with Can't Snorkel tomorrow...

Man, I so stressed!

(So I apologise for being out of character. DOOOOCccctoR!! LujuuCCIIIDD!! FffffFFFoRKI IN MY EYE!!!!!)

Good god, it's still dead here.

If there was no work, this place would be empty all the time.
