I think in light of recent events round here people seem a little on edge, tetchy even. So I wanted to start a group hug to get that love flowing again, make everyone a bit more tolerant of eachother (group hugs are also an excuse to get a sly grope in whilst no one's looking!)

((((((((((group))))))))))

:D

We used to be so cool. Now people are starting group hugs... over the internet. Does noone else see the lameness in this?

No offence frankie, its just, well, this is sad.

No hugs from me either.

Come on Vic, or you worried you might like it too much? ;)

I don't see the problem with being techy. I've been a techy for 15 years.
Posted by frankie, 11:48, 28th August 2003:

To be fair, spending the whole day leaving messages about not a lot to a bunch of people you barely know (with the odd exceptions) is incredibly sad, so how can a group hug hurt really?
Posted by Sul, 11:48, 28th August 2003:

It makes it worse. I can live in denial of the rest of my sadness.
Posted by frankie, 11:53, 28th August 2003:

Come on, you should embrace the tradgedy that is your life
:D
Posted by Sul, 11:57, 28th August 2003:

I do that already by trying to achieve an alcohol related death before George Best.

I'm embracing the tragedy that is Sul's life

Sul, we have lots of alcohol, you should come over and try and get dead
Posted by frankie, 12:03, 28th August 2003:

Posted by Grim..., 12:32, 28th August 2003:

Nowhere, I made it up.
Hence 'makes no sense'.

I am adding The Prodigy and SL2 to my list...

don't you just love those cars with the extra bits round the bottom and the suspension lowered? someone at college had one, drove out of the carpark, over a new speed bump, tore the whole lot off. laugh? i nearly ruptured my spleen :D
Posted by Sul, 12:37, 28th August 2003:

"Whoops, it's ACSII not ASCII." - nope, you were right the first time.

"Advanced Set Character 2 makes no sense." - So this was a random statement?

You're doing well at shaking off your geek tag, mate.

Alright, lets have a group hug, then we can have group therapy, then maybe have a group listen to Marylin Manson, then lets go group trenchcoat buying. then i'm off to the local school with a shotgun and a Mac10.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH Matrix,

Forget it then, if people thought i was a matrix gimp, i'd just shoot myself before reaching the school.
Posted by frankie, 12:58, 28th August 2003:

I knew a guy who wore a full length leather trench coat, people would just shout the word 'Matrix' at him in the street.
Posted by beargod, 13:00, 28th August 2003:

Posted by Sul, 13:12, 28th August 2003:

Funnily enough I new a guy that wore a dirty old mac just like Columbo. People would just shout the word 'tramp' at him in the street.
Posted by plindoe, 13:14, 28th August 2003:

"We used to be so cool. Now people are starting group hugs... over the internet. Does noone else see the lameness in this? "

Yes I see the lameness in it simply because by posting a comment to any topic on here is expressing ones perception, which, when written and then read by another, could be perceived quite differently. It's not like we are all looking at each other whilst we chat, therefore maybe being able to put more accurate thoughts into words in order not to hurt someones feelings. If we were all sat together, physically, then I could see the point in a group outpour of emotions, although I for one, find that quite superficial. No offence meant.

Anyway, as far as I am concerned, I think this place and its members pretty cool, or I wouldnt be here.

Why does everyone take me so seriously? I was just being sarcastic, hence the comment about getting in a sly grope whilst no one's looking.

Besides, I was right, everyone on here is really argumentative, it's as if some of you are starting arguments and winding up people just for fun.

I wish people didn't all start leaving here at 5.00, I need company whilst I waste my evening doing freelance work :/

Hello frankie!!

I don't know what anyone is on about because I have alzheimer's (possibly).

Fuckit, i'm up for a group hug, despite being unaware of the tetchiness. (i'm thick, see.)
Posted by arsepuppy, 00:40, 29th August 2003:

To digress a bit, the Popbitch mailout says that "Prince has just gone jazz". Well no fucking shit, he released his first full jazz album 2 years ago, TSK. (FFS he flirted with the same fucking genre back in '92).
Posted by arsepuppy, 01:17, 29th August 2003:

Just to clarify... I don't really have alzheimer's, just incase anybody gets a bit arsey and "ITV community programming" on me.
