In 1864, during the Civil War, Union Gen. William T. Sherman's forces occupied Atlanta.

I love the fact its "the" civil war, like there has not been civil wars in alot of other countries

I'm not so keen on cake. I like bears though.

My mates just back from working in Whistler and he got a call from his former staff residence neighbours saying a bear had got into the accommadation area. It wandered about a bit then climbed in somebodys window and climbed back out with a loaf of bread. Bonza. They probably shot it though which isn't so good.

Another friend, who lives i Canada, told me a bear related story that happened a few years ago in Banff. A bear wandered into a hotel kitchen and started to munch on all the meat and so on. They wanted tranquilise the bear but needed a cop there to witness the discharging of a firearm at a bear. There was a parade on in town that day and it was one of about 4 days i the year when the cops in Banff have to dress in full Mountie regalia. One of them legged it over to the hotel, fully clobbered up, and witnessed this bear being tranquilised. 5 minutes later a bus load of japanese tourists arrived at the hotel and witnessed that most Canadian of sites: a large bear being carried out a hotel by about 10 guys (two of whom were bonafied lumberjacks) all under the watchful eyes of a mountie. Nice one.
